Despite this, the staff was very attentive, frequently checking on us and taking our orders promptly. My kids got lemonade, and my wife and I enjoyed Victoria beers. We ordered fish, shrimp, and sirloin tacos, with the fish tacos being my favorite. My kids had chicken with mole and cheese empanadas. The food was delicious! The horchata was refreshing and tasty. It's hard to find BAD food in Tulum, but the more touristy areas definitely have food that's less amazing. La Riviera Costena is right in the middle of the main street in town and does not disappoint. The one downside is there's no beer or alcohol served here--but that's a small price to pay for the incredible, affordable food.
