I went to eat at Guadalajara and had a disappointing experience. I ordered the Brenham Burrito,…read morewhich comes stuffed with your choice of meat, rice, and beans. It was also supposed to be served with Rice & Beans. The waiter didn't bring them out with my burrito, and so I thought maybe I misread. I was tired and hungry, it happens right? To their credit, the burrito tasted great! But when checking out, I grabbed a nearby menu just to double check AND it says it right there! Under the section Dinners Mexicanas " Served with Rice & Beans!" But the cashier explains that the Brenham Burrito comes with the side of Rice & Beans INSIDE of the burrito, and not on the side. He also explained this was a COMMON misunderstanding, and that in the future I had the option to buy an additional side of Rice & Beans, or even to ask the staff to put them on the side instead of in the burrito! Now it doesn't explain any of this anywhere on the menu, and no staff warned me about this when I ordered it. If they just forgot to bring them out with my food, okay, life happens. But to pretend that a customer expecting a side of rice & beans on a dish "Served with Rice & Beans" is some weird misunderstanding people keep having for some reason, like you're the first restaurant in the state of Texas to use the phrase "Served with rice & beans" but you're still not taking any steps to fix it? So I'm just putting it out there that if you go to Guadalajara, make sure ahead of time that they intend to actually serve you what they put on the menu. It's disappointing because I've really enjoyed going there in the past. But SMH, there's too many Mexican Restaurants in Brenham to go somewhere where they don't give you what you paid for, and then suggest you pay them more money to get it.

When we saw the Brenham location, we were excited to try it again. Unfortunately, it's vastly different from what we remembered. The women's restroom was clean and well stocked, which I appreciated, but the light over the sink was out, making it feel dim and unfinished. The staff, as always with Las Fuentes, were incredibly kind and attentive. That part hasn't changed, and it's one of the reasons we wanted to give this location a try. The chips were good, but the red salsa was very watery, and the green salsa really needed more heat and more robust flavor. On the positive side, the cheese quesadillas were solid--simple, well‑made, and something I'd recommend to both vegetarians and carnivores. My husband tried the lunch buffet and thought it was terrible. His recommendation was to skip this buffet entirely and eat at Guadalajara instead, which he feels is much better. Overall, the service was great, but the food and buffet quality didn't live up to our past experiences with the Magnolia location.

The waiter did an excellent job of taking care of us and making sure we had everything we needed. I was amazed they had a playground for kids so they are occupied while the food is cooking. The chips and salsa were addicting and fresh. I had the Enchiladas and they were so delicious and super fulfilling. They have a variety of drinks as well. The menu is great and love how they have so much to choose from for everyone so whether you want a taco salad, tacos, or enchiladas they have something for everyone! They also have music in the background to enjoy your meal and for an upbeat vibe. I would recommend the enchiladas and will be back to try more food!
