#16 tacos de alambre

SO. GOOD. We moved here from San Antonio. I know full and well we weren't going to get the same kind of food we know and love. But this stuff is great. I haven't even ventured out to try other places because I haven't had a bad meal yet. The steak and egg breakfast burrito is bomb.

Delicious, hot, and authentic! I'd recommend this place! The wait for food was not too long and service was good.

Rusty Spur Cafe - My mind cannot reconcile what people do when they use the restroom. It makes me wonder about the sanitation... I'm perplexed.

For Advance Mother's day celebration, we wanted some spicy soup and was hungry for tacos as well so…read morewe went to this place and ohhhh yum... home cooked Tacos De Birria, and the Pozole, just outstanding. We will be going back. Easy 5 stars.

Alright, so here it goes. As new residents of the area, my husband and I decided to pop in here…read morebecause, for whatever reason, their waffles with vanilla pudding appealed to me as a "cheat meal." The waffle came with bacon, sausage, or ham, but dietary restrictions/religious reasons (whatever you want to say) I asked for eggs. Now, I'll get back to that. My husband ordered the chilaquiles and, the same goes, opted for eggs. His dish was pretty dang tasty. It had quite a bit of heat, so I tapped out after one bite but not bad at all. My waffles were amazing, and the vanilla pudding was delectable. My husband warned me to do the half order, but I didn't listen, and trust me, I regretted it because the portions are HUGE. Now, our meals should have been $9.50 a piece. We knew upfront about their credit card processing fee of $2.50, so no problem. What kills us about the tab was the offer of a substitution for the bacon, sausage or ham was an upcharge of $5.00 ($2.50 for my husband's meal and $2.50 for mine); however, it was not disclosed to us. There are two things that boggle my mind with this... ONE: I find it interesting we are being upcharged for the eggs when the eggs are cheaper than the meat. TWO: Being a devout religious community, I find it interesting that there isn't an option for an alternative when it comes to pork. It goes to show you that at the end of the day, devout or not, if there is money to be made... religious conviction is out the door. Also, I found it really strange that you cannot flush toilet paper. Being from California, I found this odd, and it really posed so many questions, but I figured I probably shouldn't go down that rabbit hole. Oh, and our waitress was Nancy. She was very friendly and her service was good.
