Don't eat here if you want to keep your stomach clean from contaminated food!
While the Mexican food in this truck certainly looks and tastes AUTHENTIC, you might reconsider how the hygiene of this place is currently handled. I've had many meals from this small taqueria before and I rarely had any problems with the fresh ingredients that the food generally has. Yesterday, however, was a letdown. Not only was my ham torta badly prepared, but it gave me an uncomfortable stomach feeling a few hours after eating it!
I found a few pieces of stiff avocado skin on my sandwich, which means that the avocado had a rushed slicing or one of the cooks didn't cut it appropriately. Not only that, the ham's freshness quality seemed and tasted a little outdated. The lettuce didn't have a fresh texture as well. Everything about the meal looked like it was about to expire!
I'm not sure how often these cooks wash their hands and the kitchen supplies. From what I experienced yesterday and a few days earlier, they're not doing a good job keeping the ingredients as fresh as possible and free from any bacteria. I would give them the lowest rating if they hadn't impress me with their previous meals. The people who work in this taqueria have potential to provide great service, but it's really lacking at the moment. Hopefully they innovate on most or all of the mistakes I mentioned above. read more
