She is a professional in…read moreevery sense of the word and our wedding went so smoothly in no small part due to the experience she brought to the table. Leading up to the wedding, she was incredibly responsive over email and did a really great job of not only helping us to structure the timeline for our day to minimize stress and scrambling, but also rolling with the punches if we had any questions or last minute changes in our plans. The day of the wedding, Adena and her second photographer Laura did a fantastic job of keeping everything running smoothly and on schedule. From the getting ready pictures to the couple and wedding party pictures to the family portraits, Adena did a great job of corralling so many people to efficiently get the shot. I just felt like I was in really good hands the entire time, especially given that the weather forecast introduced some unpredictability to the day. Despite that, Adena always had a plan and had an amazing eye for getting some incredible shots - sometimes planned and sometimes impromptu. Her candid shots were also everything; they really captured the energy of the party and so many of them bring a smile to my face that I know I'm going to have a bear of a time picking which ones to put in a photo album - it might just be all of them. To make a very long story short, Adena's communication, professionalism, and flexibility made it easy for me to trust her with photographing our wedding and that took so much potential stress out of the equation. I really hope to work with Adena again in the future because I really think she is the full package.

And we couldn't be more pleased. Especially the candid shots! But everything came out beautifully and we are forever grateful.

Responsive, attentive, creative: all these words can be used to describe her. To start, we made an appointment over the phone and her instructions for how to get to her studio and how the service were clear and concise. Furthermore, I was very confident + comfortable with her attention to details re: COVID19. Everything was very clean and we kept both our masks on until the inevitable photos started being taken. What I found most helpful was her advice on structurally creating flattering conditions and also on what kinds of clothing/hair/makeup to prepare for the event while still being respectful and mindful of the client's tastes. For instance, I immediately just assumed since these photos were professional in nature, that a black blouse would be ideal. She gently advised me that actually wearing something with a bit more color to it would be even more flattering, make me look friendlier, and overall convey more personality in the photo. I was surprised to hear that advice but she is the pro, not me, so we both ran with the idea and I brought a few options. Boy was she right! The end product photos were a HUGE, MASSIVE, MONSTROUSLY large improvement over the unflattering, generic, poorly lit photos my company had been using and advertising with. It was literally a night and day process in terms of quality and service. She absolutely nailed it. Priced well for the market and attentive as can be, I could not recommend her more. Thank you so much, Marie! You made the whole experience exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you!

They made me feel at ease and helped me to pick out the best outfit based on my goals for the photo. I had my hair and makeup done by Marie's colleague - she did a fantastic job (I just wish I remembered her name!). I actually had the photo taken in 2017 and forgot to post a review then...but then realized I need a new photo and immediately thought of Marie. I highly recommend this business!

First off I have two points to make... 1) this was for a…read morewedding and long to show how great they are 2) these guys are the most accommodating company I've ever used. Initial meeting - After calling a company who must have had Calvin Harris djing for him with his rates We found Ernest and realized his rates were right in our budget! both my fiance and I live in Virginia but we got married in New Jersey. So we didn't have a lot of free time to set up meetings. Ernest scheduled on the exact day we were going to be in town and was a pleasure to have lunch with. Immediately we knew we wanted to use him. Songs and song choices- my fiance and I delayed getting this to them until about a week before the wedding. To make it even worse we sent them about 10 songs and the wedding party / first dance songs.. Never once did he get upset, check in on us, or say he couldn't do anything. It was all met with a "great or no problem" in fact he even took my call on a random Tuesday night because we had no idea how to do the scheduling. He helped with all of that!!!! Wedding- well let's just say that everyone danced their booties off!!! With a very diverse family including kids he managed to work in poppy songs for the kids, 60's & 70's songs for the adults, dance/ rap for us and our friends.. We got compliments on how great of a job they did. Keep in mind that 10 song list I sent was done so he knew what type of music we wanted to listen to. At 10 songs it's hard to fill 3 hours of dancing and Ernest picked songs that blended perfect and everyone enjoyed. If you've made it this far reading, thank you! But you should be calling electrified dj to get them at your next event not reading anything else from me... Thank you for making our day so perfect!!

If I could give Everly Studios 10 stars, I would. Every step of the way, our wedding day was done our way. From our first phone call, Jocelyn really listened to us and understood our vision for our wedding day. She helped us plan an itinerary for the day that was authentic and effortless. On our wedding day, Jocelyn was the only person present, and we wouldn't have it any other way. She was our witness, our hype-woman, and captured every moment of the day along the way. She did the vital job of documenting our special day, but she was also a joy to be with. She made us feel completely at ease with her and her camera. The photos speak for themselves. She fully encompassed our vision of moody, candid, authentic, dramatic shots. We are so proud to show off these pictures, and every person we show is blown away by them. Perhaps more important than the incredible aesthetic of the shots, though, is that she captured us. She captured our energies, our story, and chronicled the best day of our lives. Jocelyn, we cannot thank you enough for documenting our wedding day with your art. To anyone considering elopement photographers, you will be glad you chose Everly Studios!

We met with Jocelyn Voo over Zoom before moving forward with working with her for our special day as our photographer and our witness. Jocelyn was absolutely outstanding for more reasons than one. Firstly, we felt that she really "GOT" us, from start to finish. She listened to our vision (dark, moody, candid, casual, gritty) and as wild as some of our ideas were, she totally leaned in and delivered exactly what we were looking for! Secondly, when you're eloping just the two of you, having a third person present is intimidating; what if it's awkward? What if the vibes are weird? But Jocelyn was an absolute joy to spend time with! I'd go so far as to say that her presence made the day even more special. She asked us about our love story, she joked around with us, and seemed genuinely interested in who we were as people. This also impacted the photos, as you can see how comfortable we are and how much fun we're having. Third, Jocelyn is an expert at her craft, although not pretentiously so. Her website offers so much guidance on how the elopement process works. Her emails with us gave us contacts for who to reach out to for certain steps (We took pictures in the lobby of the Beekman and had to have permission granted; something we certainly wouldn't have known!) Not only did we consider Jocelyn our photographer, but our guide in the process of eloping. She also is an expert in that her photo-taking does not appear obvious! I was worried about having professional pictures taken of me in public, but onlookers barely noticed as Jocelyn very naturally pulled her camera out and snapped pictures. If you are eloping in NYC, there is simply no contest; Jocelyn at Everly Studios is your photographer. You won't regret it, and I genuinely believe our wedding day would not have been as smooth and enjoyable if it weren't for Jocelyn.
