During the walk-through, he offered a number of value-added additions to our request. These additions were offered at no-cost and included taking down an old fence, trimming out a couple of trees in the front of our house, and an offer to remove a pile of wood inside a shed area. Mike's crew was very professional and completed the removal of eight full-grown trees in a residential neighborhood with houses on all three sides. They ground out all the stumps and got rid of the surface roots too. Along with the tree removals they also trimmed four varieties of full-grown oaks that had never been trimmed before and did an absolutely wonderful job - they look better than we had imagined they could. Mike checked in with his crew regularly and the crew leader was extremely competent. Mike also checked in with me everyday and kept me apprised of all aspects of the project - he was very accessible and I was able to reach him instantly when necessary. A testament to the quality of the work they did is that four of my neighbors will be hiring Mike to do work on their properties also. Everything being said, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Coastal Tree Care for any work involving trees!

Mike was instructed by the homeowner what area to avoid on day 1 so another project could be completed and completely out of their way. There was more than enough space on the 1/4 acre to accommodate the request. On that day, my crew showed up and Mike's crew already had the area covered in branches, despite plenty of open space elsewhere, albeit less convenient. One full day of dump trailer & wages paid... money lost. Came back to finish the job myself two days later, and was unable to retrieve all my material due to the excessive small branches and leaves mixed in. Money lost. At that time, I overheard Mike complimenting his crew on the work. Well deserved, as they were doing a great job! I also heard him say "dont worry about the broken light... it was like that". As the caretaker of the property, I am aware of every aspect of the property and have plenty of extras for repairs. On his way out, I asked Mike which light it was. He begrudgingly said "just one of the bulbs... (insert wrong home owners name) will be fine". I then told him I understand, but I have extra bulbs and would like to make sure they are available to them at the end. He blew me off... clearly uninterested in speaking to me. I then expressed my disappointment in my crew not having access on Day 1 as we were told we would have. It was at this point Mike showed that he was either having a bad day or is clearly threatened by a woman who asks questions and states disappointment. He spouted off with "Well I'm in the business to make money, so sorry if I inconvenienced you". Now, anyone with any couth understands that statement is the complete opposite of an apology. The chauvinism oozing out of Mike was absolutely disgusting. The snide comments and blatant refusal to hold a normal conversation were disappointing from someone who participates in other aspects of our community, especially involving children. He ended up running off, crippled by the expectation of conversation, back to the safety of his van. Gave a fake name when asked... laughable as everyone knows everyone in this small town. If you want your trees taken care of, but don't expect to hold a productive conversation with the owner, Mike is your guy. If you are a woman who understands time/project management and asks questions, stay away... Again, the crew was AWESOME! Polite and efficient. Stacey was especially helpful in communicating with the crew on our behalf and making space for us to pull in.

George came by on Friday to give us the quote, and he was able to come do the job on Monday. We had gotten a quote from another company, George's price was more than half way cheaper. I discovered they were still running four hours later. And yes, you did reimburse me for the water usage. This is part of the attention to detail that is lacking. The gopher guard was not pinned down properly so within a day of the gopher guard being put down, I had gophers. This happened more than once. My hose was left on more than once. My gate was left open more than once. The wrong Grass was laid in that dead corner. After several attempts, that area still has dead grass. Terry immediately met with us in person, understood our frustration & developed a plan for our backyard that was within our budget. He included a gorgeous waterfall & pond that will be home to a few goldfish. Also an elevated flagstone patio with a firepit that gives us a gorgeous view we didn't have previously & more.
