And everything is reasonably priced for my university student budget. It came with fries and the restaurant provided plenty of sauces for the food. Two of my friends got the falafel and the owner brought extra falafel for the table. It was so much better than falafel you can get in bigger places. The owner told us the story of his home town in Syria, after which the restaurant is named, and it was touching to be able to talk to him.

Saint Michel, I had time to get something to eat and I stopped along the grand Rue on my way out of Mont St. Michel at Au Pèlerin. It's a small little shop selling ice cream, soda, sandwiches, and some other things to keep you going. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and a Coke Zero. The sandwich was just perfect to make up for the lunch I didn't have. The baguette was very good. The sandwich could have had a bit more ham and cheese but the price was right. Another nice touch is that you get a small chocolate based sweet in a tiny wrapper with each coffee. The staff were courteous and welcoming. It's a busy port town and they have huge big windows for people gazing. The seating was comfortable. The toilets clean and tidy. It's on a corner in one of the main streets of the town about a less than 10 minute walk from the Christian Dior museum (adult entry €8) and the same from the wonderful harbour.
