I got numerous quotes before finding Logan and the rest were absolutely outrageous prices. Tapes To Digital was definitely the most affordable and the quality and service were fantastic. There is also sliding scale for pricing the more tapes you have.
I took 25 extremely old VHS tapes to Logan and he transferred them and got them back to me within days. He also called me shortly after I dropped them off to advise me that some of them had mould on the ribbon - he suggested FaceTime in order to show me, which was decent of him, so you know it's legit - and I was so relieved to hear that he could take care of that too. It does cost more per tape for the mould treatment but that is totally fair - it's a very reasonable amount and I was just so happy he could provide that service rather than me having to find somewhere else or worse, being told my tapes couldn't be transferred.
If your tapes are jumpy that will show on the digital version too - don't expect stabilization or a higher quality image than the original you provide. In my experience, the tapes affected by that were usually just affected at the beginning and then evened out.
You can provide a drive or purchase one through them but I opted to have mine put onto the cloud for a small fee so I could download it from there; the files stay available for three months to give you time to download them. (Makes sure you make several copies and keep them in more than one location before throwing away your originals. Learned my lesson after a near-loss of all my photos a couple of years ago which would have been absolutely devastating, so just including a reminder here!)
