As for the food, it seems like just about everyone around us the got the sushi boats. They looked impressive and delicious, but our group opted for the 4 course dinner, which was a great value at 32 euros. There are a few optoins for the starter course, ranging from 3 freshly shucked oysters to soup to sushi. Out table had all 3 optoins, and they were excellent, with the oysters being fresh and light, the soup being very flavroful, and the sushi being a bit more filling but very solid. As for the second course, it was the same for everyone, a beautifully cooked scallop. As for the thrid course, we also had choices, ranging from a super tender filet with wine sauce to a beautifully prepared sea bass. Dessert was fantastic, with a lovely sampler of 4 bites! we had creme burlee, amaretto cookie with a nouse, a warm chocolate cake, and ice cream. Wine prices are also reasonable too. In general, I am leary of places that try to do two things at the same time, but Mood seems to pull it off well, offering great continental fare as well as sushi at a great price.

I love Mood. I LOVE…read moreIT. I've been here only once, but my parents and my sister are regulars here. The food is absolutely fantastic and the service is absolutely un-Dutch-ish. And by that I mean that it is friendly, attentive, and there when you want it, gone when you don't. We had a sushi-boat, which was a beautiful contraption, with absolutely beautiful fish, and grand desserts. There really isn't that much to say other than that this is about the only thing I would confidently recommend in Eindhoven. The interior is well-decorated too, nice clean white space with typically Dutch/Eindhovish modern designs. Well done people, well done indeed.

Asian fusion as they define themselves. Short menu but…read morereally well taken care of. Shiitake soup was just great and also the Ramen was excellent. Great big portion. They fell short on the cheek cake which is definitely not something it fits the Asian fusion piece. Great cocktails. My Japanese silk was very very tasty. Over all the service is nice but it is indeed quite slow. Not that I matter as I am a very chatty person but some of my friends were a bit annoyed. The ambience is cool with a very nice outside terrace for the non rainy day, an inner courtyard with fountain. Tables are really cramped up... and they do try to fit too many people on the same one but over all it is good, just book for an extra person and then you get there with one less :) it can be very very loud at moments. Not to pricey. Definitely a go again.

We ordered Asian Walk starter plate (€25,95) and a bottle of Marlborough Savignon Blanc (very crisp and mineral New Zealand white wine, approx. €31). It was a warm day and we are not big eaters so we thought it would be enough. And it was. Food looked beautiful and smelled delicious and the waiters were polite (maybe a little slow though). We started with the bread and duo of dips, followed by the tasting plate. Beijing duck and Bisque were stunning, shrimp and coconut soup were good and Vitello Tonato and Salmon cakes were average. The only problem I had is that restaurant poses itself as fusion ("restaurant where the Far East and West meet and several cultures join, inspired by all the beauty of Asia"), but west and east were not really incorporated together. You find a good asian food in Opium with sometimes out-of-place touches of european food. Read more on my blog http://www.nansypop.com/food/restaurant-opium/
