It is so welcoming and the staff are so nice. The menu is all fresh ingredients, and organic or natural mezcals and wines. I really liked the Tartar de Cecina Yacapixtla, and the last mezcal on the menu (the name escapes me). It is more or less similar menu prices to the US, but I think the space and presentation are worth the higher cost. The chef is also there to answer any questions about the menu. Much of the staff speaks English, and they are patient if you try to speak Spanish as a foreigner! I did not order a cocktail, but they looked fancy and delicious. If you are around, give it a try!

Only had drinks so can't speak to the food but the cocktails were delicious. My husband doesn't drink so they made him a really creative mocktail and I had the White Calypso cocktail which was amazing. Chatted one of the owners briefly and apparently the cocktails were created by a partner who used to create the cocktail menu for Pujol. Seems like it would be a really fun spot on the weekend. They also have Negroni Wednesday but sadly we're leaving tomorrow! Will definitely come back next time we're in Roma Norte.

We…read moreopted for an outdoor table and experienced the most prompt and attentive service of our entire visit to Mexico City. The offerings at Romelia are comprehensive to say the least. We started with some delicious croquettes, followed by jamon iberico on toast, spicy charred pulpo, and finally two orders of tacos -- prawn and ribeye. Each dish was superb. The pulpo was expertly charred, and the flesh as tender as a gentle summer kiss. The tacos, which are made completely from scratch in house, embodied many of the rich flavors that make Mexico City one of the world's greatest culinary destinations. Even the side dish of butter we requested was exceptional; it tasted as if an abuela in the countryside had awoken early that same morning to milk her lone grass-fed cow and gently churn it just for our visit. We opted for a bottle of Toro (~$960?) to accompany our feast, which we regarded as a sensational value. It accompanied the food perfectly. In addition to his outstanding service timings, our waiter was kind, conscientious, and particularly patient with our subpar Spanish skills. Sometimes in life, happy accidents happen. This was one such occasion. We were very pleased to discover Romelia, and hope that we can experience it many more times during future visits to this great city.

The grilled octopus was amazingly tender and fresh, one of the best in all of Mexico so far. The Patatas Bravas were too covered in paprika to taste much else, so for me they're a skip. The pan con tomato (tomato toast) was also not great as the bread got soggy quickly and there was some odd taste. Not bad by any means, just not the best I've had. All in all though, Id return in a heartbeat as the vibe is so chill and pleasant and given how amazing the octopus was, I'd like to try even more off their menu.

The big and bold caricatures on the façade, reminiscent of the local newspaper comic strips from the 1910s, and the ample outside seating distinguish this corner restaurant while driving down Puebla. The inside decor is tasteful and follows the same theme, with bright fixtures contrasting the darkly-natured cartoons elegantly. The dishes brought forth from the kitchen feature traditional cooking and ingredients and in a slightly more modern light, with glimpses of utter deliciousness and plenty of promise throughout. While we didn't have any drinks, there are a variety of appetizers that would go great with beer, as I am sure the early revolutionaries would enjoy while eating their 'botana'. We enjoyed the Gorditas to start, a nice bite to begin our meal, although it was more of a tapas-style dish than an actual gordita. The entrees offered some excitement as we read them from the menu, and even though our dishes were flavorful and properly cooked and seasoned, our flavor meter stopped at 'pleasingly satisfying'. This is definitely a promising beginning that to me speaks of how Mexico's gastronomy should approach its own revolution and evolution. Hopefully with time this young restaurant will live out its potential. After all, it took a decade for the Mexican Revolution to come to fruition.

I only came for drinks, but the vibes were EVERYTHING. I had the silver margarita, the DJ was amazing, and the rooftop itself is BEAUTIFUL. It's more of an indoor rooftop/lounge vibe with gorgeous lighting, fake greenery and grass all over, and panoramic views of the city that make the whole place feel super upscale and trendy. Even on a Sunday night the energy was there. As a solo traveler and party of one in CDMX, I honestly got into almost everywhere pretty easily without reservations and thankfully this spot was no different. The funniest/most random part is that it's inside a building where one of the floors is literally a hospital/medical center but somehow once you make it to the rooftop, it completely transforms into such a dope vibe. Definitely a must visit rooftop in CDMX for drinks, music, and view
