Very friendly staff and with a short menu you know everything is going to be fresh. In fact you could even hear them pounding the meat for certain foods like Schnitzel.
I shared:
Geschmort ochsenbachen mit selleriepüree Braised Ox cheeks with smooth as you like Celeriac Purée: Was recommended this by friend and I loved it. The puree was outstanding. And match the ox cheeks perfectly. Falling off with each bit on the fork. Lovely balance.
Schwäbischer Zweibelrostbraten mit Spätzle Schwäbian onion roast beef joint with Spätzle: Quite a rich dish actually. So much so I had 3/4's and saved the rest for the doggy bag which they werte more than happy to do. Never had Spatzle. Like a thin pasta it is traditional and soaked up sauce well. You need it because as I said the beef is rich with it's sauce. Very good meat though.
Galbschnitzel mit gemischtem salat Fresh veal schnitzel with a side salad: Soaking that meat up with lemon this was fantastic. Very fresh and very crispy yet tender. A winner.
Ordered some coffee to end with, and they even gave us all some free chocolate cakes to have. Lovely touch. And very good!
All in all, definitely one tradtional eaterie to check out if in Stuttgart for sure.
