In briefing, our son was headed toward a path of disaster and laced with confusion, frustration, betrayal, trust & love issues and you name it. All while his body is physically morphing into manhood. I started this journey a year postpartum, struggling with looking in the mirror at the person I had become, feeling a sense of identity loss with going from a full-time career to a stay at home mom, and overall I wasn't happy with where I was with my weight and fitness level. After all, I played two sports in college so I know first hand what it feels like to be healthy, in shape and performing at your best. All I wanted was to feel myself again, but I was stuck in a funk and struggling so much with the idea of getting my mind and body back in gear. Throughout this process I was able to learn how to transform my train of thought surrounding food and health entirely. I am now equipped to turn my sense of control into curiosity and I have learned how to allow myself to focus on what I get to eat, not the things I think I am missing out on. This program has taught me a lot about food and helpful eating habits that I have not only never heard before, but I now hear myself passing on this same insight to others. Having my son is my greatest accomplishment in life, but I wish I would have started this program sooner to be the healthier and happier version of myself for him that I am now. I had worked with Sabrina in the past and after years of struggling and as I have gotten older, I knew I had to reach out to her. I have always been active and I workout every day so that was not an issue for me. But I was still slowly and steadily gaining weight. I have tried every meal plan and/or diet you can think of spending hundreds of dollars a week on food and hours in the kitchen meal prepping, and nothing worked long term. I reached out to Sabrina in September and started working with her a week or so after my initial call. She made a few tweaks to my diet and my exercise routine, and the weight began to come off. We worked together until the middle of January. During our time working together I lost 20lbs. OVER. THE. HOLIDAYS. I am a social person, and food is always a part of that, so the holidays are especially challenging. If I can lose 20lbs over the holidays, anyone can. Since finishing my last session with Sabrina I have continued to lose weight. It doesn't come off as fast because I am not super focused on it, but that is what I love.
