Our 2 children began having issues with their braces and our family logged 5 emergency visits (2 while on vacation). During a visit the day before our European vacation, their equipment failed again. Our cruise ship did not have a dentist on board, so we texted their office complaining again about their equipment issues and the urgent need to resolve the issue prior to our vacation so our son could eat for 10 days. When we returned from our trip, Busby & Webb dropped both of our children as patients. What compounded the situation further was one of our children was being treated for an emergency gum infection due to their brace's springs installed and we were left trying to find another practice to continue the treatment. Both of our children asked, "What did I do?". Clearly it has left a poor experience with our children in the Orthodontist community. We found another provider, but they highlighted it would cost another ~$5K to finish the work we hired and paid Busy & Webb's office to do. Luckily there are patient protections for situations like this and the NC State Board of Dental Examiners is currently investigating their practice. All of the information above is factual and can be corroborated with the NC Dental Board. Our intention of this review is to help prevent another similar situation to an unsuspecting family at great additional time, hassle, emotion and financial burden.

When I tried to get a refund of my money, I was told that I had some mysterious past due balance from 2017 so they were keeping my money to pay off the balance owed. I didn't agree to pay that amount but she wants to keep the money and have me pay for a root canal at another dentist. Right at Christmas time.... where are the morals in this situation??? If I owed money to the dentist, why was that not mentioned during my initial visit or before the root canal was scheduled to take place? Further, if I owe money, I wouldn't have been seen so how do I magically owe when you can't perform the procedure. I went in thinking I'd be alleviated of my pain but all I received was a headache in addition to a horrible toothache. Thanks for nothing. The only person who even seems to have any morals is the assistant. Guess it's time to find a new dentist for my family and stop cutting corners at this place.
