I am not understanding the low rating for this facility…read more My family has been going here for three years. My husband goes to Dr. Babson. My son and I see R. Benninger and my daughter goes to Dr. Erickson. For my daughter, Dr. Erickson was the first doctor to listen to her issues, actually diagnose her condition and treat it - not just tell her to lose weight and exercise more. After her first appt with Dr. Erickson, she called me crying saying she finally felt heard and is getting the treatment she needs. I have been seeing R. Benninger and every time, I walk away feeling heard and all of my issues are addressed. I never feel rushed or like I am a burden. My husband has a spinal issue and Dr. Babson helps him with daily care and ensuring that his medications are accurate. The Staff is excellent. Everyone is very nice, and super helpful. I love that this office offers so much in house care. Lab work can be done here, along with Physical therapy, counseling, weight loss, and so much more. I encourage anyone looking for a new doctor to try this location.

I can't believe I'm being told I need to make an appointment just to get a refill of my medication…read more I thought Southwest Family Physicians was supposed to help patients--not create extra barriers and extra costs. I'm actively trying to reduce my healthcare expenses, but your refill process forces me to pay for appointments I shouldn't need. On top of that, even scheduling is a hassle--half the time I'm on hold for 10-20 minutes just to talk to someone. Honestly, it's faster for me to get in my car and drive to the clinic than wait for someone to answer the phone. This is frustrating, unnecessary, and it feels like the clinic is more interested in billing for appointments than helping patients get the medication they already take. I need this fixed. Please explain why an appointment is required for a refill, and what you're going to do to make refills possible without forcing patients into extra visits and extra charges.

My girlfriend and I were in a car accident that was deemed my fault. GEICO was responsible for my girlfriends medical bills ( a horrible company in its own but that's another story) . We were nearing the end and it had to go to arbitration due to GEICO refusing to pay a fair settlement. My defense was a GEICO lawyer, who basically admitted to me with a smirk ( when I mentioned Dan Mangum had prescribed care for my girlfriend ) that they had "worked" with Dan in the past. That smirk, and being told by two other lawyers who we sought out for assistance from that Dan Mangum is on GEICO payroll have made me conclude that this man does, in fact, take payments from GEICO in order to downplay your injuries, testify against your personal injury claims in court, provide watered down, biased medical reviews ( for insurance companies to use in reducing your settlement ), and even going so far that their medical billing specialist "Doesn't talk to lawyers" for some strange and unexplained reason. I am appalled by the morality of this man and his office. We went to him in good faith seeking help for my girlfriends constant pain. This man will act as if he cares for your wellbeing, recovery, and a fair treatment, then turn around and do everything he legally can get away with to aid insurance companies in reducing the amount of money they have to pay to you for your injuries. All for an extra buck. It saddens me to see a such a morally warped health provider has taken up office in my community. I give this as a warning. If you are seeking fair treatment, fair evaluation, and honest compensation for your pain, suffering, and damages in any kind of injury or medical issue covered by an insurance company. Do not approach this man.

Around 9, got a call asking for me to come earlier - 10 or 10:30, so I moved meetings around (I do have to work!) and accommodated the 10:30 and got in at 10:10 for paperwork. And then my husband and I waited and waited. Finally, I got called in at JUST after wait for it...11:20. Did the initial check in with the nurse and then I'm assuming maybe an RN or NP came in (God help us if she's a doctor) who asked me how I was doing and when I said I was a bit nervous she laughed and said - what? You're scared?! And laughed again. Then she proceeded to literally rip off the bandages I had and upon seeing the gash appeared visibly horrified and said oh you're gonna have to go to an ER you cut a tendon, and handed me a wad of paper towels and walked away. My husband asked where should we go, do we need to do anything and she just dismissed us!!!! So - we got in the car and my husband googled ERs and that's the end of this story but OMG! Still in shock at the absolutely horrifying experience. Side bar - the hospital (Legacy off Nyberg, who was 5/5 10/10)said they've heard this time and again about this place Be aware! Yikes!

My experience at the surgical center was also as smooth as I could have possibly imagined. The staff, nurses, and anesthesia team were great. I never felt like I was in a scary hospital setting, and people paid attention and checked in on me often. As a fellow healthcare professional I know how to run a business and care for patients without my office feeling like a people mill. This is not like other large clinics or hospitals I have been to. It feels more personal and more like a family practice.

This occurrence spanned over the course of 3 months due to issues with insurance and waiting for the next open enrollment. Dr. Vandana was quick to assess that my shoulder was indeed progressing into a painful frozen shoulder issue due to the small battery of tests she had me do. I could not get any Physical Therapy help during those painful 3 months due to insurance issues so I had to wait until the next open enrollment when I transitioned over to PPO coverage. This all took place a few days before the New Year. Out of the pocket visits to Physical Therapy were expensive ($125-150 per session) and I was not going to pay for that whatsoever so I had to find some alternative temporary remedies to power me through this ordeal. In the meantime, on my visit, Dr. Vandana wrote me a referral letter which was the key missing piece of the puzzle that enabled me to get Physical therapy help on the first week of January. Had I tried to get a referral letter through regular channels and through a regular Physician, I would have waited at least 3 months since I was considered a new patient. I didn't know that an Urgent Care doctor can write you a referral to PT anytime. Nurse Abigail B. did a great job taking my vitals prior to me seeing Dr. Vandana so I have to give her props as well. I was treated with the utmost of respect and my visit was less than 30 min. I'm thankful that we have these Urgent Care centers where we can get immediate help and going through the regular channels I find challenging since I recently found-out that the cause of these issues are due to lack of medical professionals because of shortage of personnel.

As a result, we were charged $175 for each appointment, along with additional lab fees, which quickly added up. The 2 medications prescribed were extremely expensive--around $2,000 total--even though the doctor was aware that we were paying out of pocket. She initially acknowledged this and said she would switch to more affordable options. However, four days later, my mother ran out of her medication, and the updated prescription had still not been sent to the pharmacy. When I followed up, I was informed that the doctor was no longer able to change the medications. I was also unable to speak directly with the doctor, as the front desk would not allow it. Overall, the lack of communication, follow-through, and consideration for cost made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this clinic based on our experience.

Also, after a year+ of seeing them, they still have no clue as to what my condition is or how to treat it. Last month, the Safeway pharmacy, despite knowing the prescription was recurring, didn't have the medication forcing me to go back to Oregon to reissue the prescription to another Safeway pharmacy. I had two months refills left. Great, they sent the new one but retracted both of the old ones. This month without notice, we were told we don't have one more refill as it was retracted and the doctor refuses to honor the original prescription leaving me without essential pain medication. Of course, all this was done behind our back without the courtesy of letting us know one month ago they were cancelling one refill. Even as a patient in Oregon, Erin - one of the nurses - was very uneducated. As I am on SSD for PTSD, depression and Fibromyalgia, I sought a referral to a psychological doctor. I was referred to a general therapist with a master's degree. Erin's response is that there is no difference between therapist. In other words, a psychologist is the same as a psychiatrist which is the same as someone with a BS in therapy. Anybody with a few brain cells would recognize there is a reason for each distinctive degree and the courses required to earn each specific degree. It would be similar to stating all surgeons are the same and that a Premed student equates to a Neurological specialist. AVOID THIS OFFICE. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DELUSIONAL.
