The meals came out in about 30 min so not bad but one had to be sent back as it was under cooked and the staff were more than happy to return it and showed genuine remorse and threw in a desert to the person involved. I had a typical chicken Parmy this was not bad just pub standard and came with chip and a nice light salad and acidic dressing that was good. My partner had pork belly and beetroot purée with rocket apple and fennel salad. It was nice also the pork was soft and gelatinous. The place is nice inside and had a variety of people from families to couple and groups. Not a bad place to grad a pub meal. Prices were typical of a pub meal and overal it was a good lunch

Mind you, I did come back later and discovered that they did have a nice beer on tap, but that was in the downstairs bar, which wasn't open when I visited. However, they do have a rather nice rooftop bar, which was pretty cool, and the service up there was pretty good as well. Unfortunately, their beer selection at the time was somewhat limited.

It's just that I can't come here without remembering what they used to serve - and my review reflects that.

In way it wasn't too bad, and the service was nice, but the thing is that that was probably about it. I can't necessarily say it is one of the greatest pubs, but at least you can sit out the front and drink your beer, which I reckon is still pretty cool.

Yeah, I can't say that it was one of the greatest, and the beer selection is somewhat limited, which suspects that they are really only trying to appeal to those who happen to live in or near the area, and the older generation at that. I might fit into that generation, but then again I'm also a city bloke who writes Yelp reviews, so that probably says a lot about my tastes.

The Hibernian is a strange name for a pub. The name implies cold winters that are better spent sleeping off than living in. The pub though, with also includes dining area and live bands on weekends, shows no sign of sleep deprivation. The cramped drinking area spews on the path and seating under corrugated iron - a wonderful sound on a hot rainy night. The dining bistro stylings of the rest of it are a little on the tacky RSL side, but not so much that it gets in the way of the fine pub food and social interactivity of le people. Have the Parma!!!

Well worth turning off the highway to enjoy. The golf course itself looks really interesting and we enjoyed sitting on the shaded balcony and watching the golfers struggle with a long hole where the approach to the green means a carry over water. The staff were friendly and helpful - my only regret was that the Christmas guests had eaten all the prawns the night before so there was no Prawn Roll for $6. Definitely next time.

The heater worked really well which was a major plus in the middle of a very cold winter. The location was easy to find, and if we'd wanted to we could easily have walked into e heart of Wangaratta to dine or to visit a pub. Parking was available directly outside the room and I felt fine leaving my car there. The room was spacious, clean and had an awesome view overlooking the park. Hence the name. The beds were super comfy with plenty of pillows to choose from. The telly was easy to use (sometimes you need to read the instructions to get them going) and most importantly I felt really safe in the room. There was a safety door chain with a sign urging us to use it for our safety. We pre booked which was easy and check out was quick and easy too. The only negative was that there was a bit of noise after 10.30pm from guests upstairs. Not too bad though. The motor in provided a number of extra touches such as sweet biscuits which we had for breakfast, a pa met of coffee for the plunger and a corkscrew. (It is the wine region after all.) I really liked this motor inn and recommend it highly.
