We began working with Stonescape Steel Roofing 08/29/2025 to have the siding on our home replaced…read moreafter it was damaged in a storm. Initially working with the company was good. Our contractor would respond and communication seemed decent. Ultimately large promises were made with little follow through. At the beginning of this process we were told they would cover the exposed portion of our home to prevent further damage. That just got done 02/09/2026 and they did not even cover all the exposed parts (I have photos). We were told multiple times weekly that they were waiting on approval from our insurance and it should be, "any day". We accepted this knowing sometimes insurance claims cause delays. We would ask for updates and it was always our insurance's fault. In December we went 4 weeks without any communication from Stonescape Steel Roofing. Later we found out our primary contractor was hurt on the job and no one else at the company bothered to communicate with us or take over our project. It took me calling and talking to the General Manager Sean to get an answer. The correction, the company had our initial contractor come back early from medical leave and communicate with us. I have a security video of this contractor in a medical brace at my home completing measurements. Another few weeks being told, "any day" and that the delay was our insurance. Fast forward to 02/05/2026 my husband and I both reached out to the company. I again spoke with Sean who provided multiple excuses as to why everything had taken so long. We were told again the delay was our insurance. My husband and I were told not to speak to our insurance because, "They wouldn't want to talk to us and would only want to talk to the contractor." We called our insurance finding out Stonescape Steel Roofing had only spoken to our insurance 4 times since 08/2025 and just sent the estimation approval request 02/04/2026. The entire time we had been lied to and our insurance was blamed for the lack of Stonescape Steel Roofing. I again spoke with Sean who stated the company "dropped the ball", "he didn't know what happened but it was clear people were not doing their jobs", and promised things would be better. We finally after 6 months get a full insurance approval. 02/18/2026 we had scheduled for someone from Stonescape Steel Roofing to come to our home, bring samples, and get progress progressing. I communicated 8 times leading up to 02/18/2026 to determine who was coming to our home and get a phone number. 8 times I was told they were working on it and would have the information to me shortly. No one showed. I tried to call my contractor and the phone number was no longer in service. There was no communication. When I called because no one showed up I was informed the contractor on our project had quit DAYS prior and they would work on reassigning my project. Again Stonescape Steel Roofing dropped the ball. Working with this company has been nothing but a headache. Lies, poor communication, and lack of accountability. The best part is 90% of our communication with them was done through text so I have a paper trail. I HIGHLY recommend you take your business literally anywhere else if you want the work done. Working with Stonescape Steel Roofing wasted time and energy. We are 6 months later and still have a damaged home. It was clearly demonstrated time and time again that they did not care about the work they were doing or their clients.

If we could rate this company a zero we would because that's what we got, zero. Actually, we got a…read morebroken contract and 2 weeks of wasted time looking for a contractor who could handle building a barn kit in the mountains. Christy was actually good to work with and presented us with an acceptable signed (by her) contract that we accepted in return. Then she showed up with her partner (?) for what we thought was a quick look at our property an to pick up our deposit. That's when the whole thing became untenable. Her partner (?) began by saying the contract was simply an estimate that could be cancelled at any time. He could say it a hundred times but that doesn't make it true. It is very much a signed contract that uses the word contract within it more than 35 times. He also announced many times that they weren't making any money off this job; that makes no difference to us as that's a problem within their company and it's cost estimating process. We just wanted a barn kit built with the least effect on our pocketbook. He also was very aggressive and would interrupt us when we would attempt to put forth a solution to one of his supposed problems, ie. too expensive and/or difficult to get equipment up here in the mountains. Our answer was to offer the use of our skid steer (frankly we didn't really want a stranger using our expensive machinery but we were attempting to mitigate his "problems"). In response to this supposed "difficulty of getting here" we cited the moving vans and equipment delivery we had recently employed. Also cited was the cost of a porta potty from town. First I offered our RV toilet then, in an email the following day I forwarded information from a local company that would charge only $250 for the time of the entire project. (Obviously I didn't want a bunch of workers using my rv toilet but again, we were attempting to solve a problem.) He was so rude that I finally had to tell him to stop interrupting me. Unfortunately, when I'm furious I get teary and that gave him the excuse that he needed after wasting our time for two more days before saying I was "too emotional" and they weren't going to continue. I even flat out asked him when he was here if they were pulling out of the job and he couldn't even be honest enough to say "yes" at that time. Two wasted days later he cited my email as, again, "emotional" although it was simply a reiteration of the solutions we had offered and the positive experience we had had previously of a mountain house build and that it was neccessary to think outside the box when working in the mountains. Frankly, I'm not sure they had legal grounds to cancel the contract but it keeps me from having to tell Christy that her partner cannot step foot on our property again. I'll gladly share the contract and email to anyone so they can make up their own minds. During the visit Christy stayed very business like but her partner (?) completely took control. He did her no favors for advancing the company she founded.

We decided to get some help with replacing our bathtub, doing a new tile surround, and replacing the toilet. The final product is amazing. As a first time homeowner I was concerned about hiring someone to work on my house. I probably interviewed about 10 people before choosing James. He even provided references when I asked for them. I'm so glad I went with my gut and hired James. My first project with him was a wall addition which he executed perfectly and on time. My second, and much larger project, was a complete remodel of my front porch and balcony. As a woodworker myself (and with a father who was a contractor) I was worried that whoever I hired wouldn't have the attention to detail that I was looking for. But James met those expectations and exceeded them. Take a look at the photos and you'll see what I mean (those corners line up so well on the porch steps, it looks like art to me).

Do not hire Paramount Remodeling Company if you want your remodel to look nice, be finished on…read moretime, or not be charged for their mistakes at the end of the project. We had Paramount Remodeling Company do a full remodel on our kitchen, dining room, and living room. Issues that we had throughout the project: - They ordered the wrong kitchen cabinets, including a) not ordering enough length to allow us to put 2 barstools across one edge of the counter as we'd planned, and b) not ordering a lazy susan cupboard for the blind corner cabinet. They did not apologize, give a refund, or offer to purchase an after-market lazy susan-type pullout. Now I have to physically climb into the cabinet any time I need to get something out of the back of the cabinet. - They left large gouges and scratches all over the kitchen cabinets. - They ordered our white backsplash tiles from two die lots, and intermingled the two. They wanted to charge us extra to redo the backsplash all from a single die lot. While they ultimately didn't charge us for the labor, we did have to pay for a second batch of tile all in the same die lot. - They painted all of the walls without wiping them down, and after putting the wrong texture on them. There was hair, pine needles, rocks, wall mounts, nails, staples, and all sorts of things painted into the wall. We had to pay extra to get them to do another pass. - They did a terrible masking tape job on all of the places where the walls meet the floor boards, ceilings, etc. They had to do a second pass, and even still the lines are not neat. - It took them two weeks to finish the "touchups". Most days during that time they only showed up for about two hours in the afternoon, if they bothered to show up at all. The project ended up taking about 6 weeks longer to finish than it was supposed to, which is not including the two month stop-work order that the city put on our project due to issues with the bathroom remodel done by a different company that was not Paramount's fault. I've owned two other houses where I've done largescale remodels. This was by far the worst, which is saying something since on one of those other projects the project manager ended up having to stop working on the project and literally almost died because he had a lung collapse and kidney or liver failure.
