I would hope that practicing due diligence is still considered good business practice, along with ethics and integrity. I don't seem to be able to discern those qualities in this company. I would think what appears to me to be, at the very least, a poor decision by Ms. Skipworth and/or the company she works for would not be good business practice. I rate this business with one star only because a star was required to post.

She demonstrated courage in listing our house (rough shape initially in a tough place to get top dollar), and a keen sense of the market - pricing our house very competitively without causing harm to our bottom line. She is a confident realtor that easily prioritized our attack plan. Because we had not lived in the house, nor had seen much more than the front of the house in three years, Shelley held our hands showing us what order we needed to tackle things to get it on the market, what to continue to work on next, and - very clearly - what the strategy was throughout the entire process. Our house has been listed three times over the last 12 years with obviously no takers. With Shelley working on it this time, we went from listing to offer in a mere 16 days! To say I am pleased with her and her team is a serious understatement. It is a fantastic feeling to have the feeling that the realtor is actually working FOR you. I will definitely use her again.

I've never seen a realtor work so hard to make sure everything worked so smoothly. He has a background in construction, so as we were looking at houses, he was pointing out things that we didn't even notice. Buying our previous house was a nightmare & the closing on it took 4-5 hours. Brian surrounds himself with the right people. The closing on selling our old house & buying the new house was so seamless, that we were in & out with in less than 40 minutes. If we ever decide to move again, I hope he's still around. He's even willing to make invitations for us when we have a house warming & called a couple of times afterwards to see if everything was going well. Seriously who does that these days? Most people get their money & bug out. We've been in our new house now for 2 months & loving it. The neighborhood is a perfect fit for us. I would like to offer a sincere thanks from our family!

This message goes out to the often overlooked and unsung hero of apartment buildings. Maintenance…read moreand emergency after hours staff. Without them residents are left without necessities when you are in a bind. With good crews you have happy residents, with bad ones you have lasting memories that can make or break a lease renewal. This shout out goes to William C who was on duty after hours in the AM of 2/17/2021. Apparently ruptured pipes caused a fire alarm trip in the wee hours that brought sleepy residents out into an unprecedented winter storm. I am visiting someone at the complex and was wanting an update on what was going on. I called the after hours number and left a message. When I got the call back (I've been at apartments who don't call back) he was more than helpful. Despite being late and bitterly cold he had a great attitude and provided details on what the problem was and the steps that were being done to resolve and offer options in case things took a turn for the worse. Once cleared to go back in I felt confident things would resolve quickly and felt happy to know he was working hard for us patrolling the rest of the night in the snow to assure no other issues arose. He was so friendly and he conveyed a genuine care about the service he provides... and those types of things really stand out to residents. Your complex should be lucky to have someone on board like William taking care of things with such a great attitude when things get rough and we need after hours care. You ROCK WILLIAM!

I've lived here since, gosh... 2013? I've seen management companies come and go--the good ones have…read morebeen very good and the bad ones have been very bad. The current owner/management company actually cares about this place and has been putting a lot of effort into what would probably have been considered a "distressed property" when they bought it and it's looking and feeling nice again. Lots of upgrades have been going on in the apartments as people move out, they're taking good care of the landscaping and making a real effort to keep the place safe and clean. They're always adding new cool things (most recently an after hours package locker accessible with a code!) and keeping residents up to date (lots of nice emails, texts and fliers when there's a notice or a holiday coming up) which I really appreciate and it's something I didn't know I was even missing with the previous regimes. Literally everyone who lives here is SO NICE. My husband and I walk a lot and everyone knows our corgi Waffles, I swear he has a secret fan club because neighbors I've never met before know his name and want to come pet him when I'm out with him by myself (please pet my dog he loves you, stranger!), which is another point: I feel really safe walking around here by myself, even at night which hasn't always been the case in the past. Past grievances that have been fixed by the current owner/management company: The back fence had a person sized hole in it that people from the neighboring apartment community were using as a gate, this was fixed. The fence was in general disrepair and they had someone come out and weld rusting spots and paint it. The bushes were overgrown and the trees were so low it made it hard to walk down the sidewalk, they had someone come trim everything up and have kept it nice since then. None of the security lights worked and the new management had SUPER BRIGHT ones installed so the whole place is illuminated at night. The AC units were always breaking down and being overly noisy, they had an AC repair company come out and service all of them and I've seen them out there checking over things even when they're working just to be sure everyone is comfortable. There was dog crap everywhere... Well, there's still dog crap everywhere but they're always having someone walk around and pick it up and they added more poo bag/trash stations to the property to encourage people to pick up after their pets (this is a resident issue, NOT a management issue! Pick up after your dog you uncouth cretins!) Current grievances that have not been fixed yet: The hot tub has not worked consistently in the five years I've lived here. I understand that it's probably egregiously expensive to fix an in ground hot tub but considering it's a draw for most residents (me included!) and is advertised on the website it really SHOULD WORK. The pool also gets a little narfy sometimes but I don't use it much so I can't talk, but it seems like it should be cleaned more if it's open. Parking is a bit of an issue and totally not their fault but I've seen residents who have bought two covered spaces for their car so they can park their car in the middle of two spots which just adds to the problem and, in my opinion, should not be allowed. The front gates are always breaking down, again not their fault as it's an inherited issue but it seems like something that just needs to be replaced vs. repaired at this point. Also, the fountain in the front is always breaking and getting gross... It's really cool looking when it's working well but when it's not it looks disgusting. All in all the good far outweighs the bad. And there's not much bad left! Yes, they're apartments so you get some noise from your neighbors. We live on the first floor and have had some absolute nightmares for upstairs neighbors, but we've had some really great ones too and they still make noise, it's just part of living in a multi-family building. You don't get any noise from the highway and very little from being in the flight path from the airport so the buildings are pretty well insulated, I just wish the walls were a little thicker.
