This course was beautiful and play was very reasonable priced given the quality of the course. The carts were quiet and comfortable. The holes were well-labeled and the course was easy to follow. The staff was welcoming and kindly directed us to our first hole and cart. I really enjoyed this experience and appreciate Oak Valley for making my first golfing experience really great!

The location is very easy to find just off I-40 in Bermuda Run. However, I took backroads since I was come from Lewisville where I live. I provided my name and organization when I arrived at the gate and they directed me where to go. The clubhouse is in the center of the golf course which is bordered on one side by the Yadkin river. As you drive to the clubhouse, there are many houses on the streets that back up to the fairways and greens. The clubhouse is very large but I did not explore. There is a nice pro shop. Our work meeting was in the Diamond room which was a perfect size for our group of about 10. The meeting was very good and ended with lunch served about 1pm. Lunch included a side salad and your choice of chicken or salmon. I chose the chicken because I am not a fan of seafood. Everything was very timely and allowed us to continue our conversations. The chicken was very tender with a creamy sauce. It was on a bed of Ditalini pasta with a side of grilled veggies. After lunch, we were paired up and placed in teams of four. We proceeded to our carts and played nine holes. Some of our group continued on for 18 holes. The course is well kept with lots of traps around the greens. We had a dedicated drink cart and server keeping our group hydrated. We did get a short drizzle about hole 6 but there was not thunder or lightning. Overall this was good experience, the grounds, facility and service were great.

They refused to let us pay for another cart then gave us trouble when we offered to just pay for her even though she was not playing. (It was a monday afternoon and completely open playing) So we had her leave and thought it was going to be the end of our trouble. Until we were harrassed again for "playing extra holes" while looking for a club my friend left behind. Considering how bad of shape the course is in you would think the ranger would be more concerned with the course than harrasing paying customers. Never again.

On that note, basically it is a very nice simple location with adequate facilities and reasonable prices. It's definitely not as fancy as you might get somewhere else, but it's not trying to be. So if you're just looking for a place to go practice your swing, this is great. Relaxed atmosphere and a little bit of quiet without driving to a country club is great. They also have a simple mini golf section. It's really definitely not their main feature. And in the offseason times like Fall, you probably won't be seeing it cleaned much, so expect leaves on the course. That said, it's kind of like a seasonal Hazard that changes up if you think of it that way. You can tell people mostly come for the practice range. But on a plus side the lack of crowding means you would have a lot of fun with kids. And unlike other mini golf areas nearby, you don't have to contend with being quite as noisy. There isn't a lot of traffic on the nearby Road and you actually are set off well enough with trees to make it feel a little more easy-going.

Playing in the early fall the course was in…read morereasonably good shape overall (the fairways were cut a bit long for my taste), and the greens were immaculate. IMMACULATE. True and challenging. Course offers a nice combination of uphill and downhill, long and short, left and right bending holes. There are some greenside bunkers but for the most part the green complexes are open in front (except for a couple of par 3s that you have to carry all the way to the green). Although the price gap between the riding discount of $25 and whatever walking costs can't be that much, the course is relatively walkable. I'm looking forward to ditching the electronic buggy next time. BTW, please ignore the idiot reviewer "Kevin G." and his BS comments about gunshot wounds and crack houses near the course. You are more likely to get hurt crossing the road while playing than you are from these other things.
