They wasted my time, PTO, and money (paid for 4hrs of parking) just to turn around and leave. This issue falls on the booking coordinator to properly understand and clarify a customer's needs before scheduling an appointment. During the booking process, I clearly stated that I wanted color services to help blend and conceal my gray hair, along with highlights and lowlights. I also explained that I had reference photos because I wasn't certain of the correct terminology. Having grown up around the salon industry, I understand that it is the booking coordinator's responsibility to ask clarifying questions rather than make assumptions about the services being requested. Instead of taking accountability for the miscommunication, the response I received was dismissive and unprofessional. The lack of customer service, accountability, and willingness to acknowledge the mistake has left me with little confidence in this business. As a result, I will not be returning or recommending this salon.

However, I also was very appalled by how openly the owner Jordan spoke of her hatred for the homeless community and proudly totes her gun- I'm all about having your own beliefs and rights but as a business owner I was shocked at how she managed to not read the room whatsoever. Not only was she not ashamed to complain about the houseless/transient community, and brag about her gun use, but she decided to heavily empathize with massive corporations like Nike and Whole Foods because they had to close some locations in California due to looting? (Not sure if this is even true I have not fact checked) this made no sense to me. Jordan also talked and spewed these cold views the entire appointment incessantly I could barely get a word in. She talked over and interrupted me multiple times. That's okay I guess because in hindsight it's not my job to educate Jordan, I just needed a haircut. If you want a salon that reeks of privilege, lacks critical thinking and professional service, and shares their small-minded simple views of an incredibly complicated world- go to Plum Fancy and make sure you ask for Jordan. The staff are constantly busy, be is sweeping, greeting, cutting/coloring/styling, doing consultations, helping each other! The young ladies working the reception area are always so friendly, smiling, and helpful, and they stay busy as well: sweeping, laundering towels, taking out trash, etc. They have great attitudes and are always "on the move" staying busy. I feel like they are contrary to young workers these days as they do a really commendable job! In terms of businesses near Fringe since 2017, things have changed. The Bar [adjacent to the south] is now Pizzelle's Confections. Pints and Pixels is now adjacent to the north. Parlor Doughnuts replace the original space where Rock 'N Roll Sushi was and Rock 'N' Roll Sushi moved to a larger space next door. I mention all this because an appointment at Fringe is surrounded by fun dining/bar/entertainment options within walking distance that makes your appointment more of a destination for an afternoon or evening! Sandy may be eliminating the cute boutique, if I recall correctly, and I don't know if they still offer a punch card for salon product purchases. Do try Fringe! At the end of the appointment, I told her that my hair didn't look toned enough and she said that it was just the lighting, so I went home. It was NOT just the lighting; my hair was barely toned near the front. Even after coming back to the salon and having another hairdresser tone my hair again, it still doesn't look right. I will never, ever recommend anyone go to Lily for any kind of coloring unless they enjoy the un-toned bleach look. The worst part is, I tried to politely tell her that my hair wasn't toned and she brushed me off. She had another hair appointment scheduled directly after me, so it was clear that she was just trying to get me out of her chair so that she could move onto the next person. Her compensation for a terrible job was to give me a free coloring appointment in the future, but no one in my position would never let her near their hair ever again. I would give this place a one star, but all the other hairdressers have always been very friendly and kind, and I've never had this kind of issue from this salon. I'm highly disappointed, and I will never come back. If you are going to make an hair coloring appointment here, book with anyone except for Lily. She will destroy your hair and then gaslight you so that you leave without causing her any extra work.

Many other salons have low-positioned bowls, which are uncomfortable for the patron as well as the hair designer because the designer ends up having to bend down and hurt her back. The comforting shampoo bowls allow you to enjoy the fantastic complimentary head and neck massage. I thoroughly enjoyed LaBella Salon and my experience there today. The receptionist at So Vain was friendly and well spoken(unlike other salons that made me feel rude for trying to make a last-minute appointment, life happens people). Upon arriving early, I instanstly loved the cool vibe and was greeted by smiling stylists. I only waited about 10 minuted before Brooklyn introduced herself and took me back to her chair.
