Robyn was amazing! I had gotten my hair done, for the first time, and it turned out streaky and brassy. I had an appointment with someone for color correction and they had cancelled last minute. I had an event to go to at the end of the week, and really wanted my hair fixed. I had absolutely no hope of getting it done before the end of the week. I called Tangles and the receptionist was so empathetic and really wanted to help. She called Robyn (on a day that she was off btw) and she came in a fixed my hair. Robyn was so kind and explained the whole process to me, and what might have gone wrong with the first dye. I expected a stylist that would come in peeved that they had to work on a day off (rightfully so though) but she was absolutely the kindest and understanding person, AND tal I HIGHLY recommend her. read more

First of all I am a cosmetologist, though I do not practice any longer. I feel when you make an appointment you get the stylist full attention. I feel that I did not get her full attention. She was more concerned about her previous customer. I felt that she rushed. I had shown her picture of how I liked my hair to be colored. Lowlights and some highlights should have been applied .But she only did lowlights only. So now 3 to 4 weeks later it looks like nothing has been done to my hair because I have highlights previously. Let's start with the salon & atmosphere itself, it's absolutely beautiful with a fancy feel and very attentive staff. As soon as i walked in the receptionist greeted and had my wait a minute before Veronica came to get me from the lounge area in the front. I had never been here before or serviced by Veronica but i had found her on IG lol- I'm usually very skeptical for two reasons people tend to butcher my hair or get intimidated by the thickness so i end up getting charged a ton. Anyway Veronica offered me wine and was soo sweet, she was not intimidated but instead you could tell this was a walk in the park for her. She had me done in about 45 minutes with cut & style ! This is a long overdue post. The salon itself is a very energetic place. Lots of lighting, wash stations, and hairstylists. They serve red & white wine if you are interested in a glass while getting your hair done. Plenty of parking outside the salon. But that's where the nice part ends. I had my first appointment last August as a new client. I had moved to the area, and was in desperate need of some hair attention. I had recently had a baby and had been using box color to hide my grays since it was inconvenient to head out to a salon once a month for several hours with a young baby in tow. Anyway, a week or two prior to this appointment I used the same box dye color & brand I had been for nearly a year, when something went awry. I looked like I had the worst ombré ever. Bright orange halo at the top and dark black strands. I freaked out, so I called to get it fixed. I was introduced to Tiffinie. She seemed sweet & told me she had just gotten back into doing hair again after helping her parents out with their business. Said she missed doing hair. I spent 3/4 hours in her chair being stripped of the original box color then getting a basic brown color put in. I left super happy and we scheduled my highlights for that Saturday. Saturday came and I easily spent another 2/3 hours in her chair getting the highlights and a cut. $$$$ money left my wallet and I walk out the door. The next appointment I made, they claim they get didn't have me scheduled in their system although the front desk staff called me to confirm the day before!!! So needless to say I was unhappy but rescheduled. The rescheduled appointment was just as awful! They overbooked Tiffinie so I had to wait. And wait. And wait. I finally get in her chair and she does her thing and I head home. A few days later I realized my hair was turning very brassy colored. I didn't like it one bit! It was awful! I called to try to get an appointment but there wasn't a time that she had open that also worked for me because I needed a babysitter. Finally make an appointment, I show up at my scheduled time. The front desk tells me they called me several times to tell me that they needed to reschedule me because her prior client had too much work to be done on her hair and so Tiffinie was going to be severely delayed and couldn't fit me in. I was livid. No proof of calls that they claim they made to be in the hours before my appointment. Nothing! So I get bumped because the new client didn't specifically state what she wanted at her booking and I get the shit end of the stick. Pissed off, I reschedule as this must be fixed! Unfortunately, I ended up very sick so I missed that appointment but as I lay in bed recovering from my illness I realized I wasn't going to be treated that way by a business. If your staff can't properly schedule clients, or make the proper phone calls to previously scheduled clients, or ask the right questions when scheduling so as not to bump a previously scheduled client, then it's not a place I want to do business with. I also feel the stylist should have told her new client that she was already booked that day and that she'd offer the client as much as she could in the time allotted but that the client would have to continue services another day once her next client arrived. It made me feel as if my business was unimportant after I had spent nearly $300 on hair color correction in my first visit alone! I'm sure Tiffinie does great work. I just wasn't impressed with the salon and she didn't leave a huge impression on me when I realized that she hadn't given me the same color as the initial visit. Let me just start off by saying the only reason I come to Tangles Salon is because my stylist Jennifer is at this salon. Which by the way, SHE IS AMAZING, and works magic on my hair. Where Jennifer goes, I follow. If I am reviewing Jennifer, she gets 5 stars and an A++! However, I am taking one star off only because I feel the customer service by everyone else that works at Tangles could use some improvement. Not sure about their ability as stylists, but a smile or hello when you enter or walk past on your way to the shampoo bowl would be nice. read more

I want to be very, very clear...I want to give a 5 star rating is for the stylist, Chris Correa, who is an amazing stylist and saved me from a total meltdown. The salon however shouldn't get any. I visited Tangles on 2/3/2018 and had Ashley as my stylist. I came prepared with a photo and showed it to Ashley. She sounded confident that she could give me the cut I wanted. I clearly stated that I did not want my hair cut short. Long story short, she butchered my hair. Completely butchered it. I had to wait two long days (they are closed Sunday through Monday) to call and speak to a manager. She promptly scheduled me an appt for that evening and that is when I met my hero Chris. Chris was apologetic, and very knowledgeable. I wish I would have had her as my original stylist! She is a miracle worker! She fixed all of Ashley's mistakes, my hair was left way shorter than I wanted, but it does look great and I have been receiving lots of compliments on my hair. I had written a longer, more in-depth review before and was promptly contacted by the owner. I was offered compensation to remove that review. The review was removed because I felt I needed to be clear that Chris did an amazing job. I did not agree to his offer. However, I was reimbursed for my original hair cut and for future maintenance, which will be done elsewhere. A company should not be offering compensation to remove reviews, they should be making sure they are providing the level of service their ratings indicate they have. There is a lesson to be learned here, I should have asked for a more experienced stylist, I should have read through these reviews better and I should have asked the original stylist more questions before allowing her to cut my hair. And I will never rely on Yelp ratings again. read more

Very kind, fun to talk to, and she did a great job with my hair. I was referred to this place by my physician, I was excited To get my hair done here, because it looked like a nice saloon, what a huge disappointment I arrived at my appointment time and sat there for 50 minutes and still did not get my hair done. Being my 1st time there and thinking this was going to be the place to go because of the word of mouth, it was my last time. After the receptionist advised Michael that I was there he continued to work on his client and didn't even bother to acknowledge me that he was running that late..
