If a dance instructor has an issue with a child's abilities, the policy should be to take it up directly with a parent. They have no right telling a child they aren't good at dance! They shouldn't be allowed to interact with children until they get further training, as I consider this to be detrimental to a child's development. Update: I took my concerns directly to the teacher, and there was zero follow through or help with repairing this issue. I never heard from the owner, so I can only assume she doesn't care about the health and well being of children at her studio. It is in your child's best interest to find a safer place to dance.

What's worse, is that I found out that they do the same dance every year, so if we did come back next season, I'd be paying to see that same routine drilled into my daughter's head and no actual dance experience e.g., various moves and what they are called, or safety to avoid knee injury, etc. Also, I am paying $70 for a recital fee!? All this wouldn't be so bad to put up with if they had an instructor that was comfortable around kids, and knew how to motivate them. We did dance for 2 years in Pullman WA through Park & Rec, and never had a recital fee, or the same dance done twice. It was also much cheaper. I feel like because they put "school" in their title they can charge more and offer much less.

She doesn't have any cognitive delays. She is able to comprehend and follow direction as well as any other 4 year old. I asked if they thought their Giggles and Wiggles class would be appropriate for her. I was told yes and they encouraged her attendance as they 1) "get kids like that all the time" and 2) it would help her tone her muscles. When I took her the first day she struggled with jumping and moves that take muscle strength. Which was what we expected to happen and they were already aware. I asked Janine after the class if she thought it was OK to bring her back and she said yes and that she did well. My daughter went back for her second class today. She participated in stretches and then when it was time to do exercises my daughter struggled. She tried, but had a hard time. They put my daughter in the corner and made her sit on a silver dot the rest of class because she couldn't keep up. She listened to the instructor and stayed where she was supposed to, but was confused because she couldn't figure out why she is in trouble. They wouldn't let her play with the props or anklets that they brought out. Do you know how heartbreaking it is to watch your daughter think she is in time out when she has done nothing wrong? I am beyond mad. They knew she was going to struggle with her balance and strength. I gave them a heads up and the opportunity to tell me she wouldn't be a good fit. Instead, my poor daughter was discriminated against and placed in a corner. It's a GIGGLES AND WIGGLES class. I tried calling them to discuss my concern before leaving a negative review, but no one has been answering their phone.

There is a good mix of singing, dancing, playing instruments and melodic games. Basic concepts are reinforced through repetition but a new degree of complexity is carefully layered on week after week so it doesn't get stale and the quick learners are kept engaged. I'd highly recommend family music sessions for kids anywhere from 15 months to 3 years old.

Side note if you want to change your life and drop 20 pounds; rise early (if helps your metabolism to rise with the earth) and exercise every morning until the weight is off then u can drop down to 5 days a week if u like.
