Wonderful little theater nestled snugly in the cockles of downtown Spokane…read more Productions are carefully selected and feature an abundance of local talent from playwrights to production crew, actors to lighting techs, set design to customer service. Community engagement and social mission are baked into the crust. Stage Left puts their (your) money where their (your?) mouth is in terms of diverting portions of ticket sales to local causes, and they have a land-lease arrangement with one of the local tribes. They are a progressive theatre, no doubt, and wear their politics proudly on their sleeve. Still, with the production I saw I was delighted to see politics riding shotgun to art and stagecraft; highly politicized subject matter was treated with more nuance and thoughtfulness than I was expecting frankly. It's a small theater so all the seats are good seats. Sound, lighting, and set design were very nice! The acting was almost universally awesome and actors seemed both very well-rehearsed and highly skilled in delivery. Prices are reasonable at $25 for weekend shows; it's a great night out and a solid value. Cheaper tickets are available during the week as well. You can buy beer and wine in the lobby to bring into the theater, alongside some other snacky sundries. The theater is downtown in one of the more distressed areas, so feel free to walk in pairs and not leave a bunch of tempting stuff visible in your vehicle.

The staff was very nice! First time to the theater! Loved the play "Corpus Christi" loved it!!!read more

My son had to write his name every morning when he came in, and he would often come home with several creative worksheets, coloring pages etc. They were extremely consistent with the writing and it set a great expectation that is now paying off for him in Kindergarten. Staff were enthusiastic and naturally gifted with children. They did a great job balancing the days between physical activity and "seat work," and there was also plenty of less-structured time to dance and play. Payments were a little more haphazard than I'd like. They aren't set up with online payment options / reminders, so it was usually me just trying to remember when and if I paid each month. Overall I'm really happy with my son's preschool experience; feel free to write with any questions.

They have not only helped build a dancer but have also given her poise and confidence. I would definitely recommend this studio for all levels and at all ages.
