She is a consummate professional who details a check list of items before each procedure in an easy to understand, broken down language. Her staff has made me feel more like a guest than a patient every time I've walked in. All 4 of my children have seen Dr Bayer along with my in-laws. Her bedside manner/professionalism is second to none.

I met Dr. Jaffer at her office and I was in so much pain that she sent me right to the hospital. After much searching for a reason for my pain she discovered that I had perforated my colon and was septic and near death. Dr. Jaffer chose a non surgical option. She put me on a clear liquid diet for 6 weeks and saved my life with no surgery!!! A very caring person!!! You won't be disappointed!!!

Covid lockdown in IL in 2020 blocked…read moreall local physical therapy (hereafter 'PT') options so I've driven 100+ miles round trip 1x/week for the past 6 months to Crown Point. Dr. Art is phenomenal - he quickly, accurately diagnosed underlying cause of my shoulder pain, explained it and then prescribed a relatively simple PT cure - stretching & progressive strengthening exercises. It has produced amazing results - my shoulder pain is virtually gone and as an added bonus my upper arms look great! Next my wife strained her lower back 2 mos. ago so I brought her with. Dr. Art diagnosed and remedied her back pain. But much more importantly he convinced my wife she might be able to overcome her balance issues (resulting from suffering a stroke 17 yrs ago) & possibly eliminate her reliance on a cane if she undertook a PT exercise program (again stretching & progressive strengthening exercises). In 8 weeks she's made great progress so we're very optimistic! Finally Dr. Art's been considerate & flexible re our stingy insurance provider - since they won't cover our PT sessions we pay Dr. Art directly. He charges us less than the trainer at our health club would charge while delivering exceptional results! We greatly appreciate Dr. Art's help! If you have an issue that could be helped by physical therapy I again highly, highly recommend seeking treatment from Dr. Art!

Had a back injury when I was a kid that I never really had looked at. Fast forward 12 years, and…read moreit's still causing me pain (go figure). Went to one doctor who pushed for an MRI, and then never got back to me. Waited a few months and decided to head here (Pinnacle) and give them a go. Was in so much pain at the time that I couldn't even sit down without tears welling up. Standing at an always angle was my only relief. They saw this. They knew this. This visit occurred around spring time 2025 I went in, did the routine, signed a waiver to release my MRI to them, and got some blood work scheduled for a little later on. Left very hopeful and optimistic with how genuinely invested the doctor seemed to be in fixing me. Gave me a lot of info. I never heard back from Pinnacle. No follow up, no "hey we have your MRI results and this is what they show", no emails, no calls/voicemails, not even a letter. Nothing. Pinnacle ghosted me. The lack of follow up and being all around a caring and professional healthcare organization is not the reason for the single star rating however. The rating comes from the fact that nobody got back to me, yet I OWED THEM MONEY. I paid my copay, and thought that was it. Next thing I know, I have a collections agency calling me about a debt stemming from my visit here at pinnacle. Had absolutely no knowledge of it. And when I called, I got a woman with a nasty attitude basically telling me I'm an idiot because they always send out PAPER MAIL about money owed. So not only did I not get a letter at all, but in 2025, you can't CALL ME OR EMAIL ME WHEN YOU HAVE MY INFO?? This came at the perfect time too, because I was just recently laid off from work. So now my credit will take a hit because I NOW don't have the $300 I could've paid off months ago Nice place inside, but absolute trash. Would never recommend. I will never go here or another affiliated healthcare company again. It's hard enough finding people who care, but this is ridiculous. Screw Pinnacle

The pain continued and after cortisone injections, physical therapy and dry needling sessions I'm still in pain. I sought a 2nd opinion and the Surgeon identified was the issue is. I was consistently made to feel that my pain was manufactured by the PA Alyssa (who needs to practice a little empathy) and Staff and come to find out there is a confirmed issue that needs surgery. I regret choosing this practice. On a positive note the front desk Staff was pleasant, and the Nurse Brenda who was the only one who showed compassion.

The Results: After a car accident, I decided to give him a try. I was in pain, had limited motion in my neck, and had frequent headaches. After just ONE treatment, I had less pain, drastically more movement, and significantly less headaches. He had me completely back to normal in two to three visits. I really like that about him. He fixes it quickly and painlessly, and doesn't drain you. I've been to others who want to treat me for months for one issue, and I didn't see results for weeks. Dr. Joe brings it! I have now recommended many there, and they all have the same great results! He has a proven track record. Pricing: Very affordable. You get more than you pay for! The Dr: He is very current and up-to-date with methods. He stays abreast of trends and new methods. He is passionate about what he does, and it shows that he loves his job! The Methods: They are unique, but EXTREMELY effective. I am NOT a fan of the jerking/quick popping/painful approach that many use. He uses a variety of methods. Incredible! I know fungus can be hard to get rid of so I wasn't upset with him for that but... I had an ingrown toenail and went to see him. This has resulted in an open side to my nail that is not only unattractive but the fungus was able to go further down my toenail... ok, no big deal at my age and with my fungus. My daughter who 20ish with beautiful feet and nails went to see him because she got an infection at a nail salon when on vacation. I told her don't let him cut her nail off.
