Jessica charged me $30 (way to much to glue down insoles, but I paid because they are my favorite sneakers). I SPECIFICALLY said DO NOT clean them because the leather has a special coating. I showed her the coating and mentioned how it was why I loved this pair of sneakers so much). Jessica said she would call me the next day so I could pick them up (I explained they were my favorite). SHE NEVER CALLED! For THREE weeks I made MUITIPLE attempts to get my sneakers back. I went to the shop six times and all six times it was closed. I called the shop and always got a busy signal or no answer. I left messages on her mobile number, too. After three weeks Jessica said she finally located my sneakers and that I had to schedule a time to pick them up. When i picked up my sneakers they looked worse than they did when i dropped them off! I noticed the leather looked dull. I was so angry that I had to hunt her down to get my property back, I felt it was better if I didn't speak. I just wanted my sneakers. To make this situation worse, only one of the insoles was glued down. She took the unfinished sneaker in the back and dissappeared for 15 minutes. She came out from the back and said, "the glue is still wet, be careful." I drove home with the smell of the glue overpowering me (had to open my windows because the smell was so bad). I actually felt lightheaded. As soon as i got home I contacted Jessica about the damage to my sneakers along with pictures of the damage. She stated that she wouldn't send shoes home that looked like that. SHE HAD MY SNEAKERS FOR THREE WEEKS, TOLD ME SHE COULDNT FIND THEM, BLAMED HER 'HELPER' FOR MISPLACING THEM, BLAMED HER HELPER FOR NOT CALLING ME, THEN BLAMED ME FOR THE NEW DAMAGE. To make this horrible situation worse, the insoles are glued in crooked (like Jessica), the right heel is smashed in, and the rose gold accents have been buffed off!!! I paid $30, did not get the service I requested, my sneakers are ruined, and Jessica basically said I ruined my own sneakers on the drive home. Horrible experience. Quality of Jessica's work is horrible. Horrible value--I prepaid Jessica $30 for her to RUIN my sneakers and then get blamed for the damage. I am not a person to leave negative reviews but I felt it was necessary to do so in this case. I do not want anybody else to pay to have their favorite shoes ruined. Sadly and lastly, it appeared that she was not sober.

I wanted these chairs to be renewed but without destroying their late 1800s character. I opted for a green velvet. I was confident that Mary would take good care of these chairs when she saw them and got excited about the restoration. These chairs turned out beautiful - Mary restored the springs, batting and straps to preserve the firm but comfortable seating. The velvet and piping work are beautiful. This was our first engagement with Mary and we could not be more pleased. We have other pieces that we will be bringing to Mary for restoration.

Their repair person, Stacy, is the nicest lady and gave me a bunch of tips on how to preserve my leather for the long haul. She also did more work than I expected on the repair, she is a perfectionist! I give them my highest recommendation and am so glad they came to my house!

So we agreed to have them back again. Not only did they increase their price, mid-application of coating, but, after paying more than $300+ ALL THREE FAILED WITHIN 3 MONTHS. Fibrenew wouldn't come back to fix their mistakes. Throughout the time period I tried to work with them I found them uncooperative, discourteous and ridiculously unprofessional. Certainly not a company I would EVER work with again. I called the warranty company, who apologized for sending them, and, as of yesterday we paid an additional $600 out of pocket to another leather repair service to fix the previous mistakes and correct issues that resulted from the failure of the "professionally" applied protective coating. Would not recommend Fibrenew Hershey.
