Feel free to describe the type of meals you like if you don't really know what is in the menu. The waiter can recommend something. I tried a vegetarian curry that was not spicy but had spices in them. I think it is called the Malai Kofta. It's basically small potato dumplings in a delicious yellow cheesy type of sauce curry. I wish there had been a bit more dumplings in the dish but it's because it was very delicious and I was hungry. I ended up ordering cheesy Naan as well and it was so gratifying! Very cheesy! All of this has been the best Indian dishes I've had in awhile.

We nearly walked out, thinking the lack of patronage might have reflected the quality of the fare. So glad we didn't leave. Our little collective ordered lamb vindaloo, the "Non-vegetarian" combo plate, the "Vegetarian" combo plate, and kingfisher beer. Every single food item was as good as any Indian fare we've had anywhere in the US or Europe. The meats and vegetables tasted as they were supposed to, with none of that muzzzy bleed through that sometimes makes different Indian dishes taste the same. Really very, very good. Wait staff was courteous and professional, and atmosphere was what you expect in a neighborhood Indian Restaurant. Don't stay away because they offer Pizza on the same menu. Strongest possible recommendation.

It doesn't have many variety unfortunately but who cares. Quality is much more important. The servers were really friendly and greeted me very well. The server brought me fresh naan bread to the table. They also brought me some fresh tandoori chicken. It was really good. You can't go wrong with the butter chicken or beef. They were both great. There were lots of vegetarian options too. The only thing that wasn't that good was the gulab jamun. They're supposed to be hot. But they were served cold on the buffet. Best of all, they gave me a free bag of indian crackers to take home with me.

My friends enjoyed the decor of the lantern lights hanging from the ceiling as it reminded them fondly of the game Restaurant Tycoon on Roblox. I wasn't a big fan of the Shrek coloured green walls. The food was great! Although not indicated anywhere on the menu, you can ask them to make any dish halal which was fantastic. The beef biryani was so delicious and the spice level was spicy but not too spicy (we asked for medium spice). The Hakka noodles and garlic naan were tasty as well. Our favourite dish was the kebab platter which came with a variety of different meats so we could try a bit of everything - it was a great dish to share. Our only complaint was that the server spoke in a whisper voice - even quieter than ASMR. I questioned if I was hard of hearing. Even after putting on our best listening ears and leaning in, we still couldn't hear anything that the waitress said. This restaurant is not good for people with average to below average hearing abilities.

If you're looking for a great Chinese food in Regina, venture into the east end for an authentic…read moreexperience. The decor might not be much, but it's my solid go-to for good, home cooked Cantonese food. Just a tip, order from the Chinese menu. What is it you might ask? The menu for Asian people who know what they're ordering. Yes I know it sounds horrible, but they have a standard "Western" menu chock full of "chinese" dishes known in North America. And I say that in air quotes cause most of that stuff were invented here and actually has little to no relation to actual Chinese cuisine. It just makes life easier that way. Ginger beef, sweet and sour pork.. Yeah the good deep fried stuff covered in syrupy alien sauce as we know it. That stuff is also delicious, but if you're trying to save on the calories and eat the good stuff, then you need to order from the Chinese menu. For example, when I make ginger beef at home, it is beef and broccoli with a gingery soy sauce sauteed, not deep fried. Without the disgusting amount of cornstarch and msg in it. So on to the food review. So far I've had the yang chow fried rice, sweet and sour pork, tofu with minced meat hotpot, oyster and onion hotpot, salted fish fried rice and the bbq duck. All fantastic. All reasonably priced for the portions you're getting. You're definitely getting at least 2.5 meals per person for a family of 4. Well in our house, it's more like 1.5 meals for a family of 2, only cause I like it that much and can't stop eating it. This place is comparable to any reputable small eatery in Richmond, Vancouver and I don't give that compliment lightly. If you're not feeling too adventurous, definitely start with the yang chow fried rice. They make it with baby shrimp, scrambled eggs and diced Chinese sausage...the sausage alone is reason to order it. The most important thing is you can taste the "wok hei" in the fried rice. That's the flavour imparted by a searingly hot wok to the rice. If description of this foodie term doesn't mean much to you, then all you need to know is the chef knows his shit and can work that wok. And therefore anything you order from that wok is gonna be goddamn delicious. The other thing of worthy note is the bbq duck. It has the right amount of sauce to fat to meat ratio, it blew my mind. I highly regret getting only the half order but hey, Chinese New Year is fast coming up and I'll be having it again. Note that the hotpot stuff might be a little to foreign to most in Regina, so maybe save that for when you're feeling adventurous. Hotpots can take on a jello-like consistency and look, so it doesn't look that appetizing but when you're in the mood, it can be healthy comfort food. Try it on a takeout night!
