I would not recommend this place to get a men's haircut. This was probably one of the most stressful haircuts I've had, because it did not feel that the stylist was very confident. The top of my head was done very unevenly which I had her fix. And then there were lines along my fade which were just made worse when fixes were attempted. The place is nice though. read more

I got a haircut here a few days ago and it was truly the worst haircut I've gotten. I didn't realize how bad it was until the next day so I called and asked for them to fix it. A different stylist did the second cut and did a much better job so my hair doesn't look like I tried cutting it myself anymore. Be careful with who you schedule with because the stylists are not all on the same level! I also didn't find the staff to be super friendly or easy to talk to either, so if you want good conversation while getting your hair done maybe try a different place. read more

I've had my eyebrows and upper lip waxed at Tami's a few times and have had decent experiences. Today, I noticed that my skin had been ripped off in several areas. Not only is it painful, but also embarrassing as it is very visible. Update: I went in for a refund. The employees and the tech were very kind and apologetic. The manager had employees running back and forth and initially refused a refund. After asking to speak to her directly, she came out and was incredibly rude. While I was mid-sentence, she said "just give her money back and have this be done." Then walked away. I appreciate the kindness of everyone. I was disappointed with how the manager handled things. I had been a couple of times before and was fairly happy with my experience. However, I went in to get my eyebrows done a couple of days ago and noticed that it went by extremely fast and hurt a lot more than usual. She said that I had moved a lot during the process and some of my skin had been ripped off. I have gotten my eyebrows done every 3 weeks for years and never had my skin ripped off. There were multiple patches and I felt as if she did not take the time to make sure my face would be ok after. She did it all so fast that there was a very careless feel to it. It's my face so lots of people see it and now there are huge gashes out of it. I get that it will heal and that's fine but honestly, it is super embarrassing because it's really really noticeable. read more

I went to Tami's Hair Salon the other day to get a haircut in Rexburg. I wanted to see if this place was really as good as I had heard. I was blown away. I normally tell stylists to cut my hair in a certain way I have done for the last 5 years. However they have a process here where they look at your face and body shape, hair color, etc... Then they make recommendations on what they believe you should have done. The stylist knew exactly what she was doing when she made her recommendations because when I was done my hair looked the best I have ever had it! One thing I noticed is that the address is wrong on here. Tami's Salon is actually located at 242 E 7th N, Rexburg, ID 83440. My boyfriend went to get a haircut today, and came out with this cut on his neck. He didn't even realize the woman cutting his hair had cut him until he was outside and noticed the blood! And it's not even close to his hairline... The hairstylist acted like nothing even happened. Not mention on top of that, the haircut was terrible. We had to go to SuperCuts right after to get it fixed. They thought it was so bad they fixed his hair basically for free! read more

Excellent all around! Walked in this morning and they were friendly right away and made me feel very welcomed. I showed pictures of what I was looking for, an inverted bob, and they knew right away how to help. Crystal had me fill out a "hair profile" paper and talked me about how they would make sure whatever I walked away with, would look good with my face shape. Shampoo & conditioner to start, very relaxing. Then trimmed exactly how I wanted. Made sure I was happy with every cut and that if there were changes I wanted, she made it happen. She talked to me about using heat protectant but did not act like a saleswoman, she just let me look at the bottle and decide for myself. Overall, VERY impressed with the services and customer service. I will be going back for sure!! Everyone go here! read more

I wish I could put zero stars. NEVER GO HERE. I suggest going to Graffiti in Rexburg instead. I walked in saying that I had a phobia of the hairdressers because of terrible experiences in the past. My hairdresser seemed really nice in the beginning and then started cutting my hair. It ended up being super choppy and looking awkward. To make matters worse... while she was brushing and cutting my hair she said, "Your hair is really hard to work with." She said this not once, not twice, but three times! At another point she was brushing through my hair and said, "Yikes!" What? Why would you ever say that in front of a client? Imagine a dentist working on your teeth and saying, "Yikes!" Talk about anxiety! Worse place ever. read more

I went to get a haircut and I asked for a fade from the sides to the top. When I left there was a huge line and was a horrible fade. I would give this place zero stars if I could. They also offered a complimentary hot towel, but the stylist was massaging the hot towel into my eyes. I heard good things about tami's but left with a different result. read more

I went to Tami's Salon to get a mani pedi duo and I was not pleased with what I got. The people there were really nice which is the only reason I'm not giving 1 star. The person who did my manicure didn't even cut my nails. All she did was push back my cuticles, give a little hand massage, and do a bad paint job on my nails which chipped off later that day. Then when she did my feet she didn't even scrub them. I don't know if this was just an oversight or what, but when I go to get a pedicure I go to get my feet scrubbed. I was really disappointed and I don't think I will be going back. It was not worth the money I spent. read more

The rexburg starving student card offers a free tan at tami's salon, but when we went to use it were told they never agreed to have that in the starving student card or that they were never contacted, and were not allowed to use the coupon. They were really rude and made me feel dumb for even coming in and asking. Tanning costs less than $5... Was it really worth treating a customer poorly and ensuring that they will never come back? She asked plenty of questions, and had me bring in pictures, so that I not only got exactly what I want, but had it tweaked to look best with my face shape. Worst experience ever! I had scheduled an appointment in advance to get my hair cut and highlighted. When I went in for my appointment, I ended up sitting in the chair from 9am until 3pm. The lady cutting my hair was 36 weeks pregnant and throughout highlighting my hair, she had to stop highlighting my hair every time to walk to the front desk to answer the phone when it rang then walk back to continue highlighting my hair. She also had to take breaks as she was standing and being so far along in pregnancy couldn't stand very long. When it finally came time to cut my hair and give me layers that I asked for, she merely took a blade and scraped it down the ends of my hair instead of lifting, parting, and layering my hair by the use of scissors. I was horrified with the result. My hair was an ugly brassy gold color and my hair cut was far from layered. I needed up buying a box of hair dye to get rid of the brassy gold and I just layered my hair myself instead in order to fix all the damage done. DO NOT go here. A HUGE waste of your time and money. read more

I just went into Tami's for the second time since being in Rexburg. The first time I got one of the best haircuts ever. This had my confidence high about the place and I knew I would be returning. I return today and find out the girl that cut my hair last time moved. I took a chance and got the worst haircut possible. The girl left me with patches in my head that have me walking around looking like a doofus. The girl (Allison) didn't make me pay any money for the haircut because it was so bad. I had to pay in another way though looking like an idiot for a while with this haircut. Went to Tami's for the first time today. I can honestly say that it was the worst haircut I have ever gotten. It was among the simplest too. A #2 buzz cut. That's it. I have patches of long hair all over my head and also a mini mohawk. I payed $17 to get a haircut and I expected it to be good. But it was far from it. I do not recommend this salon at all. I used to get my nails done here but had to take them off cause I was running low on money. If you are going to get your nails done, ask for Kylie! She's amazing at them. I do not recommend getting your hair done there. It just depends on the person you get. I wanted an ombré done and asked for bleach not to be used because putting bleach on your ends is never good. The ombré wasn't even an ombré. It went from brown to blonde, nothing in between. Then after a couple days I noticed my hair drying out and it started to break. When I went home for Christmas break I had my original hair lady look at my hair to see if she could fix it cause my hair was absolutely horrible. She took one look at it and asked me "why did she put bleach on your ends?" And I explained how I asked her not to and she said that she didn't. What happened was that she messed up while dying my hair so when she was washing my hair she did a bleach wash to it and it completely fried my hair. That was around thanksgiving that she dyed my hair and my hair is still recovering from it. I will never go back there. She lied to me AND she ruined my hair just so it would look good as I walked out of the salon. read more
