Loved the in non alcoholic Lychee Ginger Lemonade. The service is prompt and very pleasant. They serve small food items like Hawaiian potstickers. Their ambiance is cozy with a touch of island life; the Seven Seas Lagoon in the background and swaying trees calling your name. This lounge is located on the second floor of The Polynesian Resort, right next to Ohana's restaurant.

Stopped in at the bar for a quick drink. The hibiscus margarita was so refreshing and delicious. We also tried the espresso martinis on the menu. Unfortunately, this drink didn't hit the mark. It tasted tangy which threw me off. The bartender was so nice and managed to get our order without too long of a wait even though they were busy. I would probably try a different cocktail next time but the lounge menu was intriguing so I'd like to return.

I loved the whole environment and drinks and food. The service was great as all Disney properties do. We were trying to get in downstairs but the wait was too long. After we had some drinks and food we headed to shop areas and on to our next adventure. I'm definitely coming back for another drink and more wings!

Great spot for a drink or a quick bite! Bartenders were friendly and fast, and vibe of the bar is great. Plenty of seating around the bar and at the lunge area. Small menu for bar bites between 4-10pm, but i would recommend the pot stickers!

Could never go wrong with anything at the Polynesian! It's hands down the best property on Disney and with the best drinks and service! We had a drink while waiting for our restaurant reservation and we had a blast. They get creative with the drinks and the bartenders were funny and hospitable. Love this spot!

Corner bar with some seating upstairs in the Polynesian Resort. Every time I am here it is crowded and noisy, and ppl creeping the seating area just crashed and tired instead of letting patrons use seating. But at least I can grab a beer here when you can't hardly get one in Magic Kingdom. Limited beer selection, and cocktails. Stand in q to order and pay.

We always go to the Tambu lounge for drinks & apps, the Ohana restaurant is next to it & they have a prix fixe menu there & it's a ton of food, you can get the Ohanas famous noodles, ribs, shrimp & dumplings at the lounge & the drinks are great.

Tamara and John are the absolute best- A+ services whether dining at the bar, seating area, or to-go. You can order many things a la carte that you would get from Ohana, but the potstickers are my go-to. Grab a backscratcher or a Lapu Lapu and enjoy your evening.

Love stopping here for a drink. The bartenders always make a quality cocktails and there's an easy place to grab a to go drinks. We ordered a Mule, gin and tonic and we had to try the lapu lapu. All were well made and exactly what we were looking for

View from my perch, around 1pm, on the first Friday of 2024. Just look at that Polynesian Mai Tai!

Oh, the Polynesian Resort. You are my vacation dream-the perfect mix of Disney/Hawaii-South Pacific and this delicious 70s undercurrent. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Brady's eating Dole Whip out on the lanai or the Love Boat crew temporarily docked here-and I love everything about that! And if Isaac wanted to moonlight away from the Pacific Princess, the Tambu Lounge is the perfect place to do it. The Tambu is tucked away upstairs-next to the Ohana Buffet and just steps away from Kona Cafe, in the light, bright and amazing atrium lobby of the Polynesian's "great ceremonial house." There's a bar with tiki thatching and seats on three sides-as well as a few tables. The tables have amazing views of the lush landscaping outside and the pool area-and Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom. I'm told it's a great place to watch the MK fireworks at night. By day, it's such a relaxing and happy place to sit and savor the view, the vibe and the incredible cocktails! The Tambu drink menu is full of tropical temptations, including the Lapu Lapu, which is served in a pineapple. They also have beer and wine-and after 4pm, they serve appetizers. This time, I tried the Polynesian Mai Tai. The bartender told me the recipe was a vintage, juiceless blend. I absolutely loved it! It was layered and not too sweet... with a gorgeous presentation. It packs a punch-but not a sucker punch. You just feel as warm and relaxed as the ambiance-and totally on vacation, even if you've just driven over from Tampa and are about an hour away from home. From my perch at the bar, I had a great view of the lobby. I felt as sophisticated as I thought all the Love Boat guests were, when they lifted a cocktail. I kept looking for Don Ho. It was a wonderful afternoon. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the price ($16) was quite reasonable, given the setting and strength of the drink. It's a fun place to stop after the parks-or start/end the monorail pub crawl. You can even just come and chill out for a few hours. You don't have to stay here or have a park ticket to get in. You can even park at the Polynesian, if you tell the gate guard that you're going to the restaurants. Oh, Tambu-the voodoo that you do, so well. I'll be back, again and again. Cheers my friends!

Love this lounge. Obviously, the Polynesian resort is beautiful with all the tropical, Disney vibes. The best food options from O'hana for the price of less than once person for dinner. Currently we don't have park tickets, so you have to be creative as you are unable to park at The Polynesian without reservations, but easily done. Sometimes there is a bit of a line to sit around the bar or a couple small table options near the lounge. You can also order at the bar to-go. We came right at opening on a weekday and didn't have a wait. Drinks are tropical and strong. Love the Noodles, Potstickers, and Chicken wings which are the same as you receive at O'hana at decent, sharable portions. They also have the pineapple bread pudding available to order. Highly recommend the apps and drinks with a tropical getaway vibe here at Tambu, our favorite Disney lounge.

This lounge is located inside the Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World. It is on the second floor directly next to Ohana's restaurant. If the parks are not busy or if it is not a holiday weekend or week, you might be able to actually park at the Polynesian. You can ask the security guard, tell them you are going to Tambu Lounge and park right there. If you cannot, then you can park at the TTC and take the monorail or walk over. This is a very small lounge, with only a few tables but a fantastic view. If you can grab a table, do it! This is an amazing place to watch fireworks from as well, again if you have the table. There are also chairs at the bar. The tables are waited on by a server. This is a perfect spot to lounge, have some drinks and snacks or make a stop on your monorail bar crawl. If you are just waiting for Ohana's I would recommend waiting in the chairs in the waiting area. I would not personally take up a table just to wait for my name to be called since this is a server lounge and they work for tips. You can grab a drink from the bar and take it to go and wait for your table without sitting in the lounge. If you are waiting for Trader Sam's, since the wait is usually 3 plus hours, this is a good spot to grab a pre cocktail and food before heading into Trader Sam's. Their menu is pretty decent. They have a few specialty cocktails and also start serving food at 4pm. We got here about 3:45, it was stop number two on our monorail crawl. We added our name to the Trader Sam's list (it was a 3 hour wait) so we decided to do an additional stop at this lounge. Most of their drinks are on the fruitier side including the Pina Colava, Bahama Mama, the Mai Tai, Backscratcher and Lapu Lapu (served in a pineapple!) My go to here though is the Raspberry Mojito, raspberry rum, mount gay eclipse rum, lime juice, mint, raspberry puree and soda water. It is light and refreshing, it does not taste of rum but it is there! My husband usually goes for really strong drinks, either the Ultimate Long Island or the Whiskey Breeze. On this stop we ordered two different cocktails each and then food. The food is very limited, California Roll, Hot Wings, Pork Ribs and Pot Stickers. We ordered the hot wings and they were very very good. We have also had the pot stickers which are also very tasty. Here is a pro tip: they have additional food not listed on the menu and this includes the noodles from Ohana's as well as the bread pudding with the banana caramel sauce. These are from the restaurant next door and definitely something you need to try! I love both of these and we order it every time we are at the lounge. We really enjoy this spot. We have been here a few times. I would definitely tell everyone to check it out. Its small but it packs a big punch!

Did you know you can get the O'hana noodles and potstickers here at Tambu Lounge?? Well you can and that is what brought me in for dinner while on my Disney World vacation. My husband and son are picky eater and will not we at O'hana so we came to the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian resort just for me to eat noodles and potstickers! We sat at the bar top, yes kids can sit at the bar with a parent. The potstickers were my favorite. I would order them again but I wasn't really a fan of the noodles. Honestly they were better cold a couple days later. They were a bit overcooked and mushy when they were hot.

Friendly, patient with questions, gave solid recommendations, and always around when we needed something without hovering. Food across the board was strong. The ahi tuna crisps had a solid portion of tuna on top of crispy wonton chips. The sticky pork ribs were tender and full of flavor. Garlic shrimp noodles were good, just know they're glass noodles so it's a different texture. The Wayfinder burger is said to be the 'best burger on any Disney property' and although I have not been on that quest yet to verify, I can confirm it was delicious. I'm not a huge pork person, but the kalua pork shank was tender and tasted good. Between the food, service, and the view, this is a spot I'd come back to without hesitation.

He made her log into the app, which is no different than the web version. In a rude tone, he said "I'm so sorry that was such an inconvience for you." After this, we were treated horribly. We were spoken to with an attitude, he didn't check on us once and he would interact with other tables and purposely ignore us. Drinks were not refilled, straws were not offered and the whole experience was awful. We ended up asking for a manager, and one was not sent to our table. Instead, we had to flag one down. It unfortunately doesn't end there. My nieces food came out 20 minutes before our food. By the time our food arrived, they had finished their food. Other tables with kids received their food at the same time. I ordered the glass noodles and shrimp, which was fine. It really just tasted like salt, the shrimp were chewy and the portion was small. The manager removed the kids meals from our bill. I will not be back.

I'll be honest, as an introvert, this wasn't my jam the first time I visited, because we were seated at the bar and the bartenders chose me for one of the acts. But the last two times, we were seated at a table in the very back and I love to watch from my dark corner. My husband ordered a zombie and our waitress did a hilarious zombie act as she brought it over to him. It's just so fun. I ordered a pineapple drink that featured Dole Whip and I didn't love it because the consistency was reminiscent of a Slurpee rather than Dole Whip. I feel like drinks are a little hit or miss and some are strong AF so know what you're getting into. Other things to keep in mind: if there's just two of you and you're not sitting at the bar, you will share a table. I don't love this but it is what it is. One time the couple we were seated with was cool but this last time, I made the mistake of making a light political comment that was meant with stony silence... my bad, but I don't need to think about putting my foot in my mouth if I'm not seated with strangers. For breakfast we got the American breakfast and the bacon and cheddar grits. The eggs were perfectly cooked to order, bacon was crispy, and the grits had a creamy consistency without being too runny or thick. The bacon and cheddar were tasted all throughout. The potatoes were my least favorite because I don't like bell pepper and onion, but they were large enough to pick out. For lunch we got the stack burger and grilled chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken was juicy and paired nicely with the herb aïoli. Plus you can't go wrong with avocado, melted mozzarella, and crispy bacon. Everything tasted fresh. I prefer my fries in a more shoestring style. They were seasoned, but it was too much potato for me. The stack burger is something special. The bun is soft, fresh, and able to withstand the burger patties and topping without being soggy from first to last bite. The lemon aïoli tastes like mayo with a hint of citrus. These are the juiciest patties I've ever tasted. You don't even need the aïoli. Despite being "smashed style", I was blown away at how much flavor, juice, and tenderness could be in such a thin patty. The pork belly also added a little fat to the bite. This was OUTSTANDING! I got the petite Caesar salad because I didn't want fries and I don't like pasta salad. The lettuce was a mix of crisp and other parts were wilted. This just didn't have much flavor that you typically get in a Caesar that is usually salty, peppery, and/or garlicky. The burger was so good, I could skip the sides altogether. For dinner, we got the brioche, French onion soup, bacon & eggs, and center cut filet. The sea salt dusted brioche comes with butter and roasted garlic tomato spread. I'll be honest, the only reason we ordered this was to soak up the rest of the French onion soup lol. The tomato spread had a bell pepper flavor to it and since I don't eat bell peppers, I scooped to the bottom to find the roasted garlic. The bread was dense, but I liked the flaky salt on it. It was an effective vehicle for finishing my soup bowl clean, but I wouldn't order it to eat on its own. Now, this is my FAVORITE French onion soup on property. It is rich and cheesy. The broth has so much depth with the beef flavor and caramelized onions. The cheese is perfectly broiled with those crispy bits on the edges and the cheese-pull is insane. I will always get this here. The bacon & eggs are pork belly with smoked cheese grits and a poached egg. The pork belly was fatty with a nice slightly sweet glaze. I like to dip in it in the yolk of the poached egg and get a scoop of the creamy, cheese grits for a perfect bite. The filet was seasoned and seared and cooked to medium as requested. The red wine sauce adds a nice contrast to the richness of the filet. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. Overall, we are big fans of Steakhouse 71. It's casual at breakfast and lunch and more upscale at dinner, but you can still wear normal park attire.

Remember that an alcoholic beverage is included with your meal on the Disney dining plan! I had the filet for my entree with the peppercorn sauce and Mac and cheese. Everything was very tasty! The filet was very tender. I don't even like Mac and cheese normally, but something about Disney Mac and cheese just makes it really good! First off, let me sing the praises of Nick, the bartender. The man isn't just pouring drinks -- he's orchestrating symphonies. Think less "guy behind the counter" and more "liquid therapist with Jedi reflexes." He's got that Bourdain-level wit, too. You come in for a drink, you leave with a story. Speaking of drinks: the chocolate margarita. Yeah, I said it. At first I thought it was Disney sorcery gone wrong. Chocolate and tequila? Madness. But one sip in, and I was ready to sign adoption papers. It's smooth, decadent, and mischievous in a way Walt probably never intended. If Hershey's and Jose Cuervo had a love child, Nick is the godfather. The vibe here? Perfect. Quiet enough to escape the chaos below, but lively enough that you don't feel like you've accidentally stumbled into a hotel lobby AA meeting. Sit by the window, order whatever Nick recommends, and toast to the fact that somehow Disney still knows how to make magic for grown-ups. Located in the Grand Canyon Concourse at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Outer RIm is a casual cocktail lounge with first come seating, a bustling energy spilling over from neighboring Chef Mickey's and yet at the same time a chill vibe. While they may not have the best draft list on property you can find some staples as well as a rotating seasonal and plentiful offerings when it comes to cocktails. I personally like this place better because the apps are better and the drinks are WAY better. Our server was excellent and in character and steered us through the menu. She was great to convince my dad not to get the lit fuse since he doesn't like spicy stuff. I got it and "shiver me timbers" that was SPICY! I loved it. We also went with the bread and dips which was bigger than expected and the perfect app for the place! If there are any downsides, not all the seating allows you to see the "show". People are constantly running around so they can see something. There is also a chance that you don't really get much of a seat and they are strict on the time. But hey! This is the first bar at the Magic Kingdom. Its full of people, loud, and full of Disney magic. Sure, I will come back!

Great atmosphere but figure out how to work your reservations…read more Went twice this week and had to finally give up on the 2nd visit because we had waited more than 30 minutes - despite a reservation and speaking to the staff. If you're going to make paying guests stand in a room off the main bar and continually remind them they only have 45 minutes - then the least you can do is SEAT THEM AT THE TIME OF THEIR RESERVATION!!!

That line from there will take you over to EPCOT. If you are trying to go to Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, the water parks and Disney Springs, you can pick up the bus out front. This is also on the higher end price wise for Disney resorts. I love it but it is not a place we stay very often because of the price. What I love about Disney, even if you are not staying here, you can still visit the hotel, visit the lounges, the bars, the restaurants. From the resort you can easily see Magic Kingdom, and even watch the fireworks on their beach. They do have their own beach area, it's not like a huge beach where you would want to lay out, but they do have chairs and hammocks. The resort is also a DVC resort so there are 2-4 bedroom suites. Polynesian is divided into two sections, with the traditional Polynesian resort as well as their new Tower which was recently built and open. The original section has seen upgrades to the rooms over the years. The resort also has 3 sit down restaurants, 2 bars attached to two of the restaurants and 2 tiki bars, one inside which is very fun and interactive and one outside, (both tiki bars serve the same drinks, but the inside one is more interactive). I have reviews for all of those. There is also have an ice cream stand, a quick service restaurant and then their gift shops. They also have a few pools around the resort with their main pool having lots of slides and such. The vibe and atmosphere at the Polynesian is very laid back, with tiki vibes, Polynesian vibes and very tropical. For me, I truly feel as though I am in Hawaii. I love the vibes, the food, the drinks, everything is fantastic. I for sure recommend checking it out even if you are not staying here. ACES!
