He told me via email that he had changed his plans and was going out with a private lesson instead of taking us out. His policy says that if there is a cancellation due to weather you can't get refunded, you have to reschedule, so he wouldn't give me a refund. I booked him for a trip with friends who were only in town for a weekend and he couldn't fit us in to reschedule during the weekend. I called and left voicemails all day asking him to please call me and he never picked up the phone. Extremely unprofessional, he abused his weather policy to keep my money and also get a private lesson in when it worked for him with no regard for the client.

The one drawback to a boat club are the time constraints. I completely understand that it goes with the territory of the club but it's still SO much fun! You get the choice of several boats in each location: we mostly take it out of the marina in Bridgeport near Boca but there are many throughout the state- with our favorite being Old Saybrook. While in the Bridgeport area, there are many places to stop for tubing, food, paddle boarding. This was our first season and I am already looking forward to next season!

I've never had a problem 2 weeks out but otherwise weekends fill up. Weeknights are often free for a spur of the moment sunset cruise. This is a franchise with different local owners. SE CT has a great owner who cares about his customers.
