Amazing boating company! Our guide was Kevin and he was incredible! Highly recommend. Trip: We took a power boat in nyack and got views of the bridge, hook mountain. Kevin even through in a boating lesson, where he taught us how to plane the boat, steer the boat and read the gauges which was so much fun! You could tell how passionate Kevin is about boating! He cares about the passengers and his boats so much! Food/ drinks: The boat is BYO, so grab some beers and seltzer's and you are on your way to an incredible time! Price / packages: Cost is $400 per hour and the powerboats can fit 6 people! I booked a charter with Nyack Boat Charter for my fiance's 40th. Todd was our captain - super friendly and professional. We sailed up the Hudson on a beautiful day. I brought a cooler with drinks and food (appetizers) . I was worried that some of the food would get warm (only some were in insulated bags), but we kept them below deck until they were needed (about two hours) and they were cold enough when we docked at Croton to eat. There were six of us, but with seating both in the front and back of the boat it didn't feel cramped. On the way back we were getting drenched (obviously Mother Nature showing some wrath and not due to human error). Todd thought it best that we get off early, so he ordered us an Uber back to the dock (about a 15 minute drive) where we parked at. He even waited with us until our car arrived. The weather wasn't very cooperative, but Todd made the best of it. I would definitely book with Nyack Boat Charter again. read more

Our experience with the Nyack Boat Charter was the perfect way to cap off our trip. We took the boat out on the water for a private 2 hour charter. The boat crew was very accommodating, being available for any questions and small talk, but also giving my fiancée and I space to make the trip our own experience. You can bring snacks and drinks onboard, the crew even offered us some of theirs! Fabulous experience start to finish. Booking was a snap and the owner was helpful and worked with me. The boat Molto Bella was a 28' powerboat that had a shaded canopy with table so we could eat lunch and sip wine, while we enjoyed the scenic Hudson River and beautiful palisades. We went on a 4 hour sail boat ride with Nyack Boat Charter yesterday. The Captain Kevin and his First mate Nick were awesome. Very friendly and they kept the boat sailing on wind power only. Just had a terrific late afternoon/early evening on Nyack Boat Chater's new powerboat! We hosted our best friends, another couple, for a 3-hour trip. Captain Al was a great guide, taking us up and down the Hudson to see the homes and bridges. We jumped out of the boat around Alpine, NJ for some tubing. So much fun! The afternoon sail was the best purchase of the summer! Doug's communication prior to the trip was extremely helpful in terms of weather and planning. We got lucky with a gorgeous day. The 55ft sailboat was so beautiful and Captain Dave was more than willing to teach everyone all about it, including allowing us to steer! Thanks for a beautiful night. We had the benefit of a full moon, clear skies, light breezes, and crisp but not cool temps. Just sublime to ride with the power of the wind and experience how quiet it can be in the middle of a three-mile-wide river. Our extended family felt utterly at home on the Al Vento ... we sprawled on the cushions and wandered (barefooted, of course) onto the long bow, and down into the posh galley. Kevin and John were super easy to chat with, kindly answering questions they doubtless get over and over, serving up a little improv comedy, but also knowing when to kind of step back and let our family moments happen. Was so appreciative of their care in seeing that my non-Simone Biles-esque mother-in-law got on and off the boat safely. All in all, this worked so well for my wife's milestone birthday that now she's letting me go away on my own for a full weekend. read more

A perfect 20th birthday gift for my son and family, we went out on a powerboat sunset trip on the Hudson River and it was a memorable few hours for our family. The boat was super comfortable and driven expertly by Captain Owen who was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to every need our family had and at the same time making sure we were safe at all times. He knew exactly where to go to get the nicest views and we learned more about the area from him. We witnessed a spectacular sunset! We really enjoyed our time on the boat. The crew was great and both the boat and the day were beautiful. My one complaint is that we didn't really go anywhere. We barely made it to Nyack Beach. I expected to actually be sailing, moving north up to Haverstraw, or even further, and back. While it was lovely to lay on the front of the boat and let the water slowly rock us, I wanted to be moving, not sitting basically in one spot. Despite this, we're already talking about doing a private charter in the fall, but we'll be sure to inquire about where we'll be heading (if anywhere) next time. read more
