She's especially skilled at her aesthetic pruning of Japanese Maples. Mine look beautiful, and are very happy. Judy brings the design and horticultural knowledge--that true care of gardens--that are far beyond typical mow and blow. Organic products and green solutions, which I value, are part of the service. Her foreman, Jesus, is great to work with... helpful, positive and very accommodating of the additional pruning, irrigation work and adjustments that a small garden like mine needs. I am a huge and enthusiastic fan of Judy's Gardens & Design…read more Landscape designer Judy Maier generated and executed for me an aesthetically pleasing, thoughtfully imaginative, and economically practical re-design plan for front, side and rear yard spaces of my Old Palo Alto home. Judy's landscape design--faithful to but not confined by my 80-year-old home's Cape Cod architectural style--delivered an enormous breath of fresh air to the property as well as reducing water consumption needs. Two impressive examples of Judy's magic were her (1) locating and reserving for me a raft of huge hard-to-find camellias and (2) artfully pruning and trimming two sizable flowering trees, contributing to the transformation of the front yard. Her capable crew expertly and expeditiously implemented Judy's designs. I'm using Judy for landscape projects on rental units I own.

Updated review: I wouldn't recommend this company for biweekly maintenance…read more We worked with Fortino and his team for about eight months, starting from the initial clean-up. Although they consistently showed up for scheduled visits, the attention to detail was lacking. Each visit lasted max ten minutes, and the work performed was minimal--primarily leaf cleanup, mowing, and basic shrub trimming. Weed control is listed as an included service, but this was not done consistently. In several instances, I was informed that weed control had been completed when it hadn't, which I confirmed through my exterior security cameras. Communication was also slow and often unresponsive; I frequently had to send follow-up texts just to get a reply. Ultimately, we have decided to discontinue the service.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this gardening service…read more I paid this contractor in cash to plant new bushes in my yard and install an irrigation system. From the beginning, I was assured everything was set up properly and functioning as it should. Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the truth. Said contractor then handed my business over to Willow glen gardening - this wasn't an ask - it was a demand - my business went to Willow glen gardening whether I asked for it or not . The two of these guys clearly have. A system. Shortly after installation, all of the plants began to die. I reached out multiple times asking him to come back and check the irrigation, and each time I was told everything was "working fine." Meanwhile, every single plant they installed has since died. What's most frustrating is the complete lack of accountability and follow-through. Getting him to come back out has been nearly impossible--just excuse after excuse with no resolution. I was also sold on a "premium maintenance service," which ended up being extremely misleading. The crew would show up briefly, blow debris around, and leave. There was no pruning, no real care, and clearly no attention to the health of the plants. At this point, I've lost all of the landscaping I paid for and have no recourse. It's been a costly and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

I interviewed four landscapers and Noah provided the most credible and down-to-earth assessment of my project. Every foreman I worked with (Jose, Ernesto, Hector) was great, and fun; I felt well taken care of. The crews were very courteous and left the job site clean each day. There were several change orders along the way when we encountered an issue, or a nice opportunity to improve something. I felt like I got good advice, a few options on what to do, and the communication was very good. The final outcome is fantastic. Everyone who visits the yard is delighted. Now I just need to maintain it; Noah offers ongoing maintenance contracts (which are separate crews from the installers) if desired.
