The mom and uncle of the owner showed up early to set up and start cooking. They were professional, kind, and very friendly. I was stoked that they cooked everything fresh on site and didn't just have food in warmers. We got to choose among proteins and veggies, and the salsa bar was awesome. Kids and adults alike really enjoyed the churros too! They boxed up all leftovers after the event, so we ate tacos for leftovers and froze a bunch too for later. This was our first time visiting the farm during the harvest season. We didn't get to do everything…read more(newborn & toddler needing a nap) but there was sooo much to do. Farmer John's really spent time and resources making upgrades to everyone's experience when they visit. One of the most noticeable improvements was the concrete paths that have been poured, circling the attractions. This makes the farm completely stroller friendly and so much easier for moms with young kids. My daughter also got to do the pony ride which was such a special treat for her. I should also note that it was only $15 to get in. We went to another pumpkin patch here in the valley that charged just as much, but had way less attractions, amenities and things to do. Thank you farmer John for always making our experiences better and better, and keeping it affordable for us moms!

A lot of people order their food over the phone and pick it up to take home to the family to eat. Carnitas are delicious Michoacan style for sure and they sell chicharrón on the counter like chips. They do serve chips and salsa when You dine in and I recommend order a bean dip as well. They do sell beer which goes really well with most of their dishes but best with Carnitas and they have Aguas Frescas as well. I highly recommend giving this place a try ! Service was amazing as the staff is always checking to make sure You have what You need and the place stays clean as well.
