The deck hands were really great, and salved the experience. Unfortunately, there were several issues. The fish we all caught were all dumped in a cart together rather than letting us get pictures with them. The captain told us there were life jackets, but wouldn't provide them, even though we said that we had kids that did not swim. He also yells a lot without explaining what he means, and refused any form of payment except cash, though we offered 4 other most common forms of payment, including major credit cards (this would have been nice to know beforehand, there were several opportunities to do so in calls we made to reserve the trip, or the call to check to see what we needed to be prepared with, or even on the site). The captain's wife called multiple times and harrassed and threatened us and our elderly family members (with the "in case you fall overboard and we have to notify someone" contact number they demanded beforehand) for cash from out of state when a check from us was agreed upon and cashed, including a generous tip for those good deck hands that he was also harsh with. It was a lot of money for leaving such a sad and stressful memory of the whole trip. read more
