If it were possible to leave zero stars, I would. I had been a patient with Summit Medical Group…read morefor 10 or so years. I have a chronic mental illness and am in desperate need of medical attention. While I was at my worst and needed them most, they dropped me. They literally turned me away and fired me as a patient. The nature of my illness involves fear of abandonment, and what do they do? Abandon me. The providers at this establishment have no idea how to handle mental health/psychiatric disorders. I took my medication exactly as directed. Nothing helped, which I expressed to them on multiple occasions. What did they do about it? Nothing. I attended therapy sessions with a therapist they recommended within their own facility- talk about a waste of time. The man was entirely incompetent. They are completely and utterly devoid of empathy, they are ignorant in regards to current psych therapies. Did they refer me, or even offer to refer me to someone more knowledgeable and qualified? No. Trying to communicate with the primary care physicians directly is an act of Congress. If the nurses or front desk staff do decide to grace you with a returned phone call, you will be met with rudeness and maddeningly unhelpful, inconsiderate behavior. Patient-centered care is not a priority for them. They will hardly look you in the eye when you describe symptoms. The physicians are egotistical, pontificating, arrogant jerks with insufficient medical expertise and capacities to back up their over-inflated confidence. So if you are seeking a healthcare professional who treats you like a human being, I would highly suggest that you look elsewhere. I waited for a while before leaving this review, as I was afraid of posting senseless fury. The more I thought about it, however, the more I felt it necessary to warn current and prospective patients. Especially those seeking help from a psychiatric illness. You are supposed to be able to trust your healthcare providers. I was betrayed, and they have left me in a worse state than I was before seeking their medical attention.

They did everything they could to help my husband recover and find out what caused the collapse. Everyone we met explained everything they were doing and why, and patiently answered all our questions. Yes the ER was crowded and the wait to see him long, but that was a small price to pay for him ultimately leaving the hospital healthy again a week later.

There ER is extremely short staffed or horribly run possibly both and they do not care. God forbid you question them on anything, the ignorance you receive from those fine nurses WOW. I called and asked were my wife was after I walked to get the car, went up for flights, waited 6 cars to get out, drove to the flag circle and tehn waited 10 minutes so I called and asked were my wife was and JESSIE the #$%^& started a fight. You would think in 20 minutes a human being could push one woman 500 feet in wheelchair, you would also think wen you ask the question you do not get a condesending #$%^ on the other end. Amazing 8 - 10 nurses and staff can sit and talk about there days, lifes and everything they did last night but not one can push a wheelchair. Lazy, dirty, the same garbage sat on an elevator floor for 3 days when my wife was inpatient. My wife (with cancer in chemo) was septic and spent over 12 hours in ER, over 5 of those no one even helped her. To be clear my wife has been a pediatric oncology nurse for 29 years, the lack of protocols and cleanliness is disturbing.
