And the memories created there last a lifetime. I can't wait for June and spending two weeks there. You may have your summer booked, but you must keep them on your radar.

The thunderstorm was nice. I did get swarmed by mosquitoes even with the citronella candle burning, they are aggressive! The camp grounds were quiet with the exception of the train blowing its whistle while rumbling by. I didn't experience the lake as the weather wasn't the best for it, but it was setup with toy trucks & a little kid slide into the water at the beach. I'd camp here again, it would probably be more enjoyable with more time.

Was informed that registration was April 1st. Reached out on April 1st and was told registration was now April 30th. Fine, no problem. Reached out on April 30th, and received confirmation of registration by Liz, and provided information about our family size (husband and I, our child and our dog). Liz then reached out enquiring about our dog, asking if she is ok with kids running around, etc. (we previously stated we have a child). My husband and I were both travelling for the week and apparently did not respond in a timely enough fashion for Liz (within a week) as she then emailed to say that our reservation had been cancelled, wishing us a wonderful summer. Upon reaching out, Liz became quite passive aggressive and escalated, to the point of calling us rude and finally stating that she wouldn't be booking us . When I tried to explain that my husband and I had been travelling for work all week she stated, "well you have phones and email, you sure got in touch quickly when I cancelled your reservation". Not sure how we were the rude ones? Not a great way to run a business with such an aggressive attitude.

Anglers Kingdom - another nice walleye. September 2019

We have a group of guys that started going to Anglers Kingdom 10 years ago or so. I have enjoyed it…read moreso much that the past couple of years I have gone twice each summer. What makes it so good is that it is like a fly in camp without having to fly in. The river keeps locals out and it works to keep boating traffic and fishermen to a minimum. It is not a 5 star camp as others have said. It has good accommodations; great boats equipped with what you need; and if you choose-good home cooked meals. The lake is a walleye factory. You still have to hunt the fish as they move day to day often. You may get the once in a lifetime frenzy and get 500 a day for 4 people. Usually we are in the 25-50 a day range a piece. In a week 4 or 5 of us will catch. 50 or more 20 inch and above walleye. biggest we have gotten is 29 inches but 30+ inches are taken in numbers every year. This is probably one of the best value trips available for the price. There have been a few bumps in the road the last couple of years. Two fires--one in camp; and one in the forest around camp in consecutive years caused some issues. Bur Kevin and staff did the best they could to keep camp going and not disappoint people who had their vacations planned. Personally, I trust the camp and if I have an issue it is taken care of. sometimes I need to be a little patient as with the fires--it is an outpost camp and to get repairs done is time consuming. Having a little resilience is a good personal trait. I have several friends I have made in camp over the years and there are some who come back for weeks at a time. That is a testimony to how much they love the camp and the fishing. Highly recommended by me

First of all, our reserved cabin was changed last minute from cabin 2 to cabin 1 (much smaller,…read moreterrible starlink connection and 1 bathroom vs 5 without our knowledge. Kevin is a VERY poor communicator. Conditions are degrading. Rustic is one thing, but docks are falling apart and nails/screws sticking out are an injury hazard. One board on the dock where the boat is tied down is falling off. The boats are in poorly kept condition, but you must sign a waiver taking all responsibility. One major safety concern is that our boat clearly had a leak in the hull and the bilge pump turns on regularly to bilge the overflowing water out. If the bilge pump failed, the boat could sink. The trolling motors were partly broken. The seats were torn apart and one even broke in half while sitting. No smoke alarms. Gas range required manual lighting with a gas leak--so unsafe. BBQ lighter is broken, requiring us to fix it. Housekeeping as promised was almost non-existent except taking our garbage away. Poor airflow and fans in poor function, or not working at all. Owner seems preoccupied with his past successes as a guide and angling show host. Promised wifi does not work most of the time so I cannot stay in contact with work or my family as expected. When we report problems, it is dismissed and we are shooed away. Best boats are advertised, but very poor shape. They didn't refill our gas many times. Your competitors treat clients better. Probably never recovered from the fire financially and now skimps by not spending on maintenance and sketchy billing practices. Maybe once a great lodge, but you are not serving your guests well any longer. Mousetraps live set all over the cabin without warning and i stepped on one without shoes in the bedroom--how dare you. If all that wasn't bad enough, lets talk about the lovely odor of hot burning garbage. They actually burn all of the garbage, waste, plastic right on property in a metal shed and the entire camp smells of burning refuse--yummy. Your focus on a personal family wedding instead of your paying clients is not right. The fishing is not even all that amazing for walleye. Your ability to perform basic billing is unprofessional and downright disrespectful to the paying client, trying to overcharge and retain the deposit. 5 stars for the lake. 2 stars for the property, and 1 star for the owner/business side. They will be out of business if they don't reinvest in the property upkeep. I would only return for a cheaper price with current conditions.

Stayed here for a week this past summer and let me tell you:…read more Mice infested cabin, they would literally run through your feet and you would hear them in the night scurrying around in the ceiling. I ate too many meals here surrounded by mice turds. Dirty and not cleaned for what looks like years. sauce caked and dried on the table, dirt/trash on the floor. Not a pretty sight upon arrival. one big room with multiple dirty stained foam mattresses to choose from. A huge stack of fetish porn was also found here, hooray! The place is falling apart, my friends foot fell through the deck. The propane fridge did not work = rotten food for days, we would have brought ice if we would have known/ been told. The propane stove leaked steady so it always smelled in the cabin and we were told to leave a window open or door cracked (nice!) The boat motor was super touchy, took over half an hour to start up the first day as well as the boat was leaky. The shower looked like it had never been cleaned or was from a murder movie, atleast 10 empty travel bottles of shampoo, soggy soap bars, razors from old geusts and dirty wet towels on the floor. It was disgusting but i needed a shower so I had to clean the place up before hand in order to not catch hepatitis. I cringe when I think about cleaning that shower. Horrible cabin, youre better off brining a tent and sleeping bag and camping on the property to avoid this place. The Lake is Good for fishing so its worth the trip but the cabin is just brutal.
