Phew! Talize saves the day! I was heading on a big trip and needed a backpack as a carry on for the flight. It was back to school season so I decided to check some thrift stores. I went to a few with no luck. I went to Talize and saw they had a few small racks in the front of the store. The bags were quite small, for kids mostly. Some were not in the best shape. Thankfully I decided to browse around the store and found they had a luggage section in the back. It was a bit of a mess, I'm assuming because most people were looking for school bags as well. I picked up a really nice North Face backpack which would have worked really well, except the main compartments zipper was broken. Darn it. I continued rummaging through until I found it! The most perfect Dakine backpack! It was in perfect condition and it was only $9.99!! This was easily a $50 bag so I consider that a steal! The woman at the counter was really cheerful and I was happy with my experience there. I found it didnt have the typical 'thrift store smell' of old fabric. It was clean smelling and fresh. I will definitely be returning there soon to check out more stuff. read more

Purchased 1 pair of jeans ONLY. Price tag which I still have says $15.23. Did not notice that they significantly overcharged at the till nor did they provide a receipt. Actual amount billed $60.79. Disputed this transaction through my bank, and they doubled down and said it was a valid expense. We will not be shopping there again. Robbery for one pair of 2nd hand pants. Follow up: Bank advises we were charged for a 2nd item that we did not purchase nor did we receive. Talize check your cameras and figure out which teller is stealing. read more

Talize, Your customer trust is your top concern! Really??? Since now and on I will never trust this store again and will avoid shopping in it. They sold me a pair of earrings like gold plated with 18 K of gold. It was a lie. No proofing marks ("GP"or others). They told me that it was their team who had found gold in those earrings when they tested them (!!!???). The price was too high for the doubtfull quality item - $ 20.79. Don't trustTalize ! We hit a few thrift shops this morning looking for 2 particular items. Trolls figures and Kids books. While we went all over and didn't find the trolls figures. We did find books. Cheap and with deals on top We bought 10 books. All geared towards learning how to read. We normally pay $6.50 per book We purchased 10 books for $8.95 Amazing deal on something we will actually use. we will definitely be back to flip through the books and see what else we can get It is well organized. I'm gonna pop some tags, only got $20 in my pocket; which is basically all I needed to get a shirt and a pair of jeans at Talize today. This is a great place to find the items you need, name brand, or anything at a fraction of the cost of what you would pay for it for new. That is why these thrift stores are great for that. I went today and I browsed for about an hour and tried on some shirts and jeans until I found the right ones for me. They let you have up to 9 items in the change room at a time, but be aware, I found these change rooms did have an awful smell to them like stinky feet, so you don't want to be in there long. Talize is very big inside and has a lot of selection from mens clothes to women's to children's items that you can get at a decent price. I have been here several times and will come back. They get new items everyday and you usually always find what you're looking for, and everyday they have a new manager special, and great seasonal decorations. read more

100% recommend ! The store is giant and stocks things you wouldn't normally find in a thrift store . It has clothes for every season and occasion (I even seen wedding dresses ! ) . Talize has so many different styles of clothes (hoodies,shirts,pants , etc.) . It's amazingly organized by colour and type so it's so easy to find what you need . Prices can be a bit high but there are lots of discounts (Student and Senior) as well as daily 50% off specials on different item categories every day. On top of that, they have a rewards program and an amazing return policy. A few times a year they do storewide 50% off sales. Huge variety of items and massive store.
