Tali did for me what no other psychologist offered. She helped me get out of my own way, and encouraged me to launch a business in my area of photography. She didn't just listen, but helped me to overcome some of my self negativity, allowing me to succeed. She is in my view 1 in a million. Good luck to you all, and give her a chance to help you to breathe and succeed. read more

Dr. Shokek was very nice to me and seemed genuinely concerned about my well being. I haven't had much luck with compassionate therapists lately so it was a nice change. I'm excited to go back next week. read more

I saw Dr Schokek for one year. During that year she helped me greatly. I was newly diagnosed with complex PTSD and Dr Schokek had very solid training and expertise working with this. She had excellent skills and taught me with care and thoughtful attention, basic foundational psychoeducation that I had never been exposed to before. She also has excellent assessment skills. I attribute where I am now because of seeing Dr Shokek when I did. I am grateful of the care I recieved from her! read more

I am engaged to an amazing therapist, so I know how a therapist/psychologist should, and shouldn't behave. I have been in therapy on and off since middle school. I've had good therapists and ones that weren't so great. I have dealt with a considerable amount of trauma and abuse, and I was looking for someone long term that I mesh with to really work on these issues. I almost felt like giving up then I came across Tali Shokek. We had our first appointment in mid March, I was very hopeful and the first appointment went well. She explained she sometimes was late bc of her personal life, and I was very understanding. We met a couple more times, two I believe, and she was late every single time, and I don't mean 5-10 minutes, I mean 35 minutes to an hour late or she'd reschedule completely. I have a 7 year old and to be able to wait around and have my child entertained when I have no clue when or if she'll log on is just not possible. So, last Tuesday, we were supposed to meet at 6, she didn't contact me until about 6:30, then called at 6:43 saying zoom wasn't working, which ***the rest of what happened is in the photos bc of the text limit Update-I'm adding her reply to the photos, she took no accountability and there was no apology for making me feel the way I did, I made the right decision. read more

I attempted to start sessions with Dr. Shokek but for our first session she didn't send a zoom link until 25 minutes after the appointment was supposed to be and we had to end up cancelling (my fault). we scheduled another appointment for the week after for 5pm, I texted her around 5:15 to ask if the zoom link was the same and with no response I texted her again at 5:45 asking if the session was cancelled. She then replied that she put the appointment in for the wrong time and asked if we could reschedule for 6:15. when the time rolls around 6:15 still no zoom link. 15 minutes later she states that she is just now checking my insurance. I asked to reschedule because I had other things planned to the evening and she ridiculed me asking "why did you schedule the appointment if you had to be somewhere?" That would be because the appointment was supposed to be an hour and a half prior. I will not be attempting another appointment with her as this is completely ridiculous and dangerous for a therapist to not be reliable and blame her clients for her mistakes. read more

I literally cannot say enough bad things about this insane therapist! I have personally seen five therapists and I thought I'd had the range from good to bad. She took therapy to a whole new low. She clearly has control issues that she projects into therapy sessions with her clients. She is late to every session (she admitted as much) and then she is horrible at reading her client's reactions. We went to her for family therapy but we only lasted 25 minutes before my family unanimously agreed that she was crazy and we walked out of the session. I'm not joking or exaggerating when I say that my family had to process our "session" with her. Again, therapy with her was traumatic. Then, just adding the final straw, she billed our insurance company an insane amount of money, so now we're arguing with our insurance because they don't want to pay it. THIS. PERSON. IS. CRAZY!!!! There are a lot of therapists in this town. Run from her! 10/26/18 Tali says it didn't happen, but it did. Don't trust me? Google "Tali Shokek reviews" and read the negative reviews for yourself. Other people are equally appalled by this "therapist." read more

Tali abandoned me after 2 sessions because I wouldn't leave my partner who is also in therapy for some anger issues. My partner is never and has never been physically or emotionally violent. The only issue was that my partner yelled at my cat more often than I wanted. (Which is actually fine now). But because I was unwilling to just take my cat and move out, she cut our 2nd session short and told me she didn't think it was going to work out between us. Like, she essentially broke up with me. My current therapist AND my partner's therapist are absolutely appalled that she would just abandon a client like that. That's supposed to be a last resort option. It had been a long time since I tried therapy, and Tali's abandonment really killed my trust in the process, and made me extremely weary to try again. Luckily, I got an email response from my current therapist shortly after this and I decided to give it one more shot. read more
