They offered to provide housing, but my younger sister had already invited us to stay with them. They also gave each of us a Red Cross backpack with hygiene supplies like a comb, razor, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. You have no idea ‍ the value of that backpack until you have NOTHING, and it's so precious to you. The Red Cross provides a service that is priceless. I can't say enough good things about them!!!
