This store just opened on Dec 6, and is a place to get all sorts of locally produced foods and goods. This is a "full diet" place with veggies, eggs, dairy, cheese, meats, dry goods, soaps, tea, beverages and more. The dry goods include lots of items like flour, teas, sauces, spice mixes, pasta, honey, snacks, popcorn and more just like a big grocery store, but made or grown locally to the Omaha and surrounding area! . It is a great way to support your local farmers and producers. . Parking is free along Underwood. Note, the private parking lot next to this building is a pay lot, so be mindful of where you park. read more

TakeRoot Farm Stop is where you can experience essentially a year round farmers market but in an environment like a grocery store! On their website you can meet all of their producers to learn more about where all of your food you get from there comes from which is incredible! The staff there were very welcoming and helpful. I love how they are committed to creating community and will have education programs soon! It's amazing to be able to support small businesses and farmers rather than going to a traditional grocery store where you can't easily learn about where your food comes from. I really enjoyed coming here with my friend and getting to browse all that TakeRoot has to offer. Some highlights of things that stuck out to me (when I visited in the winter season): organic sweet potatoes, carinara (carrot marinara), fresh baked bread, The Grove Juicery juices, lions mane mushrooms, micro greens, Japanese winter squash, a huge selection of frozen meats, Archetype coffee beans, but there is SO much more!!!!! I am so excited to come here through different seasons to see what other fresh produce they will have to offer. :) read more

Super cute market in the middle of downtown Dundee! I stopped in to get some pasta from Semo, which they replenish often. They have a variety of products, all from local sources including meat, dairy, produce and dry goods. The checkout person was helpful and swift. You might not be able to do all your grocery shopping here, and prices reflect more of a local producer market, but I feel good shopping here knowing I'm supporting my community and the small businesses in Omaha. read more

As a farmers market regular in the summer months, I was so excited to check out TakeRoot, a new haven of local goods conveniently located in the heart of Dundee. They make it easy to access local products (including local produce!) year round. I was not sure what to expect in the dead of winter, but I was really impressed by their selection. I loved how they list where each of there products are sourced from; I think the farthest I saw was Missouri but there were tons of things from local businesses in Nebraska and Iowa. In addition to dry food goods, produce, meat, and dairy, they also have a few home and wellness/self care items. They are in a great spot as well, right in Underwood surrounded by plentiful parking (though I know it gets busy around there on the weekends). The layout of the store is pretty self explanatory, and it also gets LOVELY natural light. I ended up purchasing a jar of peanut butter and a fun natural energy drink that I can't wait to try! Prices were about what I would expect for local and sometimes organic goods, and service was quick and kind. I look forward to coming back when I need to stock up on more groceries or grab some local favorites, especially when the farmers markets are not in season! read more
