The waiting area is really well-divided and seats are assigned by letter for social distancing. At check-in, they confirmed my information and directed me to sit at one of the labeled chairs. Min Jie Lee was my doctor, and she came out immediately. She was so incredibly nice and welcoming and walked me through the test with all the necessary details and patience. The test was not as bad as I thought it would be (no, they don't try to reach your brain) and was done quickly. Dr. Lee let me know I'd receive my results in 2-4 days on my app and via email and off I went! The front desk also covered the garage parking so it was free! If that's the case, there should be forewarned in advance. I was told a manager would call me-I doubt that will happen and if it does, it doesn't change the fact that I am still in pain and that they wasted my time.

He recommended a list of potential medications he could prescribe, and sent them to my PCP. My PCP received the list, but none were within his specialty to prescribe himself. I called back and forth for over a month, having the staff gatekeep, and finally getting ahold of Dr. Diesfeld to figure out a solution and way to prescribe the medication. I explained the problems I ran into getting HIS recommended medications prescribed, and also his staff making cruel jokes at my expense. He informed me it was likely because the nurses saw alcohol in my urine. He told me I "pissed straight vodka into the cup."I reminded him I drank the night before and no other night that month. He deflected and promised to talk to my PCP. He called my PCP, (lied about previously trying to reach out to his clinic according to my PCP) and when my PCP asked Dr. Diesfeld why I hadn't received treatment over a month in a half after an appointment for my un-managed chronic pain, which has been ruining my life? He said he made it clear to me he wasn't treating me due to my substance issues, citing marijuana and alcohol in my urine. During the appointment he notably agreed marijuana shouldn't be considered substance abuse in the way I was using it, nor did he raise any concern when I told him I will drink one or two beers sometimes, or especially the night before. My PCP even vouched for my substance use, or rather that it was irrelevant to treating me, and that nothing was pointing to me being an addict. After speaking with my doctor, he called me, and attempted to re-contextualize everything he told my doctor. Between Dr. Diesfeld and my PCP, I am trusting the one that doesn't typecast me as a drug seeking doctor hopper. If you have to go to this clinic, make sure you cleanse yourself of any substance they deem offensive, legal or not, come with everything necessary, and look as proper and clean cut as you can, or you should languish in their eyes.

I love that they have a very easy to use and intuitive app where I can schedule all my appointments, send messages to my medical care team, and get immediate video care for urgent matters. Beyond that, they have everything integrated - with COVID testing, a lab for blood work, vaccines, flu shots, etc. right in the office, and they have women's health experts as well. My full wellbeing is taken into account and they look at issues holistically - with physical and mental health both equally considered and addressed. For members, they also have same day appointments available, which are amazing if you're feeling under the weather - and you can do these in person or virtually, depending on what makes sense with your schedule. The staff are the absolute best. I've been able to forge strong relationships with my primary care doctor and the receptionist at the front is stellar - she is great at remembering me and following up with chit chat from my last visits. When my grandparents describe the close, small town relationships they used to have with their doctors, nurses and other professionals at the doctors office, that's what I always wished I could have, but thought was a relic of times past. I never used the refill, Now that I need the cream again because my dermatitis is flaring up, he said that I have to come in for a visit before he'll rewrite the prescription. My issue is is that every time I walked through that door it's a $200 endeavor and I don't have that kind of money, I've explained this to him and he said there's nothing he can do about it. We know exactly what I need and I've expressed that I am in discomfort and I just need the cream that he gave me last time, He said no. I've had sinus issues before but usually the OTC stuff will do the job. Not this time! I think the amount of money I spent on OTC meds could have easily paid for multiple doctor visits but ah well...live and learn right? Self diagnosing via the internet is not always the best way to go :) Luckily enough...I have smart friends SO even when i'm not the brightest star in the sky they usually swoop in with good advice. Kelly S recommended this place so Kudos to her. Pretty quick and efficient little shop they got going on here, though I'd rather not sit almost in the foot care aisle while waiting to be seen. While i'm sure they frown on this, I suppose you can read some of Walgreens' magazines while you wait :) If you can't get to your doctor or you don't have insurance or whatever the case and you need some quick medical attention, Haul it over to Walgreen's. I went…read morehere on Christmas Eve to get checked out (and get a note indicating I had been checked out as required for work) and swore I'd never come here if I was actually sick with something more than a cold. Fast forward to today. Ive had on and off fevers for several days and knowing my doctor definitely won't be able to get me in tomorrow, I was out of options. After several attempts to get someone on the phone, I decided to just head over seeing as it was 2:20 and they werent due to close for at least an hour and a half. I arrived to find two people waiting (not bad considering they spend about 5 minutes with you) and a sign stating they werent taking any more patients. When the nurse poked out to call someone back I asked if they were really done for the day and she said they were. More than an hour prior to their shut down time. When I mentioned this, she stated I should have called, which I informed her I tried to. Not a great way to represent a business that touts itself on being available when doctors are not. I suspect she wanted to go home early, which I can respect but still. So here I am, in bed with another fever and no assistance in determining a possible cause. Looks like Im going with plan C which is to visit the clinic near my office. They're real doctors anyway.
