Acclimate him to the facility, his new apartment, outdoor spaces, activities, etc.) First, they required a paper check payable for the first week... should have been the first red flag! Second, we had them for 6 days and had five different caregivers. One didn't speak any English and used her phone to translate and then read it from her phone. Not one of them took him outside or showed him how to sign in and out. (One of the main reasons for using their service to avoid his "eloping".) Twice they were more than an hour or more late. One got there and sat in his room for over an hour "waiting" for him to return from lunch...he needs mobility assistance... in the meantime he sat alone in the dining room until I happened to show up that day and ask where she was! I called the office and they contacted her and then she came down. In the meantime, he had soiled himself waiting for her. Brought him upstairs to clean him up and she didn't understand that he is a two person assist for showering... I had to find someone to help. Thank goodness I happened to be there that day! I could go on but this should give you an idea of quality of care. Totally unacceptable! Very expensive for very little care. Beware! Quality of the caregivers is subpar.

She anticipated my mom's needs before my mom even needed to say something. She fixed her home, cooked meals, and kept the house exceptionally clean. She was phenomenal at communicating with us for any needs that my mom might have. Renata is a tremendous asset to your company. She never sat in the other room reading books, never was on her phone, and responded to my mom even by conversing. She added companionship, compassion , and comfort to the end of my mom's life and we are incredibly grateful.

I hired them for four hours every two weeks. They sent a young woman who came on time for the first two visits. On the third visit, the office called and said the person would not be coming because she had car trouble. Visiting Angels did not have anyone on call and did not have anyone else to send. Today, two weeks later when I called the office to confirm our appointment, they texted and called their employee and she did not respond. She was a no show again this week, and yet again, the office has no one else to send. I have to cancel my appointments yet again. The company is simply not reliable and did not seem to be at all concerned that their employee was a no show. The office person, Hope, seemed surprised when I told her their services were no longer needed. I'll be looking at other agencies but would NOT recommend Visiting Angels.
