I've been to some of the local drive-through oil change places and well, they do the job but I always feel like it is a sales-job. Searching for an alternative, I came across William & Son and scheduled an oil change at my house - that's right - they come to you. Perfect. You pick the day/time, type of service (they offer other services beyond oil changes) and pick the type of oil you need and that is about it. They show up as scheduled, they are extremely polite and get the job done without all the "you need to replace this and that" you get everywhere else. I've used them twice now for oil and plan on using them for brake pad replacements in the very near term. Prices seem more competitive than the oil change places / chains and you can still do whatever you need to do while they are working in your driveway. Great service Definitely give them a shot

However, I could see through the small gap between the open hood and the top of my dashboard that they were putting a plastic hose down my dipstick tube. I said, "Wait, what are you doing? Are you sucking the oil out through the dipstick tube?" He said "Yes." I said, "No, I want you to remove the drain plug and do it properly". He replied, "We can't do that. It's our policy". I said, "Well, don't do it then and I'll just change it myself". He pulled the hose out of the dipstick tube, shut my hood, and said I was free to go. I left and started driving north on US-1 toward Fort Pierce. As I was driving, the low oil pressure light started to come on and off intermittently. I immediately knew the car was dangerously low on oil. I immediately pulled into Express Car Care near Edwards Rd by the railroad tracks and told him my story. When he drained my oil, he said only a HALF-QUART of oil came out! Valvoline Instant Oil Change SUCKED THE OIL OUT OF MY CAR AND LET ME DRIVE OFF. I went back to Valvoline Instant Oil Change when my oil change was completed at Express Car Care and asked them why they sucked the oil out of my car and let me leave. Of course they denied it. The technician eventually admitted that the machine was only on "for a minute". Apparently that's all it takes to remove the oil from a small engine that only holds 3.5 quarts. I called corporate headquarters and spoke with the area manager, who staunchly denied any wrongdoing and would not accept any responsibility. They denied removing any oil from the vehicle whatsoever. I maintain my vehicles diligently and know precisely how much oil I had before I arrived. I just checked it THAT MORNING. The facts are: (1) Oil level and oil pressure was FINE BEFORE ARRIVAL, regardless of what management claims to save face.. (2) They inserted a vacuum oil removal machine into the dipstick tube (3) I had low oil pressure warning upon departure. (4) Other mechanic found engine only had a half quart of oil and documented it. This is blatant incompetence and I want acknowledgement from them that if my vehicle develops any significant internal engine problems, that they are responsible but they refused. My vehicle only has 28,001 miles on it. I would recommend to never come here under any circumstances.

As well this is a public service announcement, so you do not have to spend 3900.00 on a new differential for your Jeep. I am not a car guy. Let's establish that. I am an international best selling author that knows very little about cars. so in leaving Long Island and my local Jeep dealership, I venture in to Oil Depot. As a creature of habit, I go to the same place. How tough is it to get your oil changed. Then, there is what I think to be oil leaking in my driveway. SO I bring it to their attention. Nope no oil leaks. While I think it is oil, it is actually differential fluid. So after nine visits, they never checked the DIFF once. Never, supposedly it is a simple thing, and easy to access. High turnover and laziness led me down this path. So a month without my Jeep, I call the owner, lets call him angry Tony. Basically tells me to get lost because he did not make it leak. Angry Tony does not care about his customers, and i am out 4,000 dollars due to Oil Depot's negligence and Oil Depot's negligence only. So now I actually have to Lawyer Up, wherein Tony said it will never get anywhere. In the mean time, when you see this place, hit the gas and run for your life!

Oil / Auto Service…read more Needed an oil change and did not feel like making an appointment so thought I would try Take-5 as I had driven by it a few times. This is a similar experience to any of the oil change places you may have been to in the past, such as Jiffy Lube. There are differences, primarily you just stay in your car while they do the work, which to me, is no problem. The staff are pretty knowledgeable, and seemed like they worked well together. The recommendation for the type of oil is based on the manufacturer and it would have been what I normally use, so no problem there. They use all synthetics which have their benefits but there are no other options if you are not a synthetic oil kind of guy. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience with no hard sell on filters / wiper blades etc., which was nice. I was in and out in about 15 minute mostly because they had to remove and reinstall my skid plate. Give it a shot if in the area.

This repair center is without question the most honest,…read more professional and caring organization i have had the pleasure of encountering. I am a former mechanic and know how to correctly repair a vehicle. I am not local to Vero so they have been taking care of my 84 year old mothers repair needs for a couple of years now. She calls me with her estimates and questions. On many occasions i have on my visits to her confirmed the need for the recommended repairs and they have been spot on and never seem to try to include unnecessary add ons. She has been to other shops before she found this one and they would always try to add on easy money scam repairs that i would have to advise against. That doesnt happen here. They treat her like family and i cant thank them enough. You may have to wait a bit to get in, but theres a reason for this. They are the BEST. Thank you to all the Team at Old Dixie.
