Truck was always dirty.. final straw was the wash getting stuck.. two attendants never came out.. had to honk the horn to get them to come out and help... and the kid puts his hands up and asks why I'm honking the horn. These people are 100 percent crooks. They signed me up for a carwash plan with a monthly fee without my knowledge. Ive been emailing back and forth with their customer service all day to cancel the plan and they cant find my account. Likely another lie. After going to Take 5 Car Wash a few times, I noticed the chipping on the hood of my car. I just bought it used a few months before that. Then I look at my son's car, and it is doing the same thing. He didn't have any chipped paint before he started going to Take 5 Car Wash. When I first saw this chipped paint, I thought do we have acid rain in Stow. I know we don't, and when I found out about my son's car, that answered my question. If anyone else has noticed a problem like this, can you please let me know. Been in Kent for a conference. Stopped here on my way out of town. The young man working the entry area could not have been more courteous and polite. Gave me all the options and when I said I was out of town, gave me a coupon for a future wash at any Take 5 location and a complementary wash for the day. Great facility with good staff. read more

I am in absolute awe at how poorly this car wash is operating and managed. If you would like a clean car without the potential of damage, DO NOT GO HERE! I visited this location on the evening of 2/3/24 and paid for a top tier car wash. When entering the car wash, you can clearly see that one of the vertical brushes is broken as it is ratchet strapped to the side. I soon find out, that the vertical brush on the opposite side of the broken brush is also broken! It slammed into the side of my car and was dragged along the left side of my car like a limp noodle. As we approach the top mounted brush, it begins to spin, but doesn't even drop down to clean my car. After the car wash, I parked my car and approached the office where three young gentlemen were sitting with their feet up on the desk doing nothing. One came to the door and I explained that I wanted a refund because half the car wash didn't work. The gentleman replied, "Yeah... I'm not even sure why we are open. But we can't issue refunds." I asked for a managers number which they told me I couldn't have, but they could take my number and proceeded to get their phones out to record it. I do not want my number stored in their personal cell phones. I have written to corporate (who also conveniently hides any phone numbers as well). If this car wash is an example of how any Take 5 locations, oil change or car wash, are operated, I strongly advise you go elsewhere. I certainly will! Take 5 Car Wash - Brushes that are not working - Car Wash Near Me - Stow, Ohio

The car wash itself does a decent job of getting my car clean and the membership price is really not bad. However...the alleged detail center leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the time, more than half of the vacuums are out of service. You have no idea which vacuums work or don't work so what ends up happening is you play a guessing game in which you pull in and out of multiple stalls until you find equipment that works. It's actually quite annoying. The staff are friendly enough, though I've never asked anybody for anything so it's hard to say how helpful they would actually be. The hours are also pretty terrible and inconvenient. Closing at six makes sense during the winter months when it's dark and cold in the evenings but makes no sense during the spring and summer months. So overall not the best car wash in the area by any stretch but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

I had been using this car wash for a car that I gave to my niece in February. I canceled my subscription the day I gave her the car. Low and behold I was charged the $38 for my subscription in March. Tried to get a refund. Never happened. Now it's April and I'm charged again. Tried to get my money refunded. All I can get for customer service is a bunch of bots who cannot find my account and close my ticket. If you use this car wash never get a subscription because canceling it will be a pain where you're repeatedly charged after you cancel and cannot get a refund. read more

I have been going to this car wash when it was known as Express car wash on Rt59 in Stow. Now it is Take 5 car wash. So I paid for the number 2 package for $16 which includes the following: Bug Soak Prep Shampoo Wash Rust Prevent Tire Shine Spot-Free Rinse Clean X2 Enhance There was no soap and the water smelled musty. I called them and spoke to the assistant manager today and basically she told me that there was soap I just couldn't see it. I will never ever, ever go to this car wash again. read more

I'll start with the positives: - It washed my car well - The free vacuums are a nice touch Now with the negatives: - It tore off my windshield wiper and damaged it to a point where I had to buy a new one - The staff blamed me for it, saying it must have not been on securely - They rush you through and only care about turning out cars and don't want to show any common courtesy - The manager was worse than the staff. He was rude, unprofessional and was basically a jerk There are too many other places to have my car washed than to have to deal with jerks. If you have a larger vehicle, beware. I know of three other people who have had trouble with the aggressive machines damaging their trucks & SUV's. read more

Very disappointed with Take 5 Car Wash!! Over a year ago I got a new car, I took my membership sticker off the online car and stuck it to a piece of paper. When my new car came in, I went to the car wash to validate my new car. I was told that it would be changed in the computer system and to use my existing sticker. Well it won't stick to the windshield now!! The guy told me to hold it up while driving through. I have done this weekly for over a year. On occasion it wouldn't work and a technician would come out to let me in. Recently it didn't work and when the girl came out. I asked about my membership and my car not being very clean. She tells me I spend $34.99 a month and that package I now $22.00 a month. Big difference!! She changed it to now the current price. I next day I get a call saying I'm banned from their establishment for holding up my sticker to the windshield and my membership is terminated. What the heck??? I was told to do that. I really wish I would've read these reviews before taking my vehicle here. This car wash did $4,000 worth of damage to my 2020 Silverado and Zoom pretty much said good luck but we'll give you a month free of washes, lol, no thanks. They even have a sign posted saying they won't be responsible for vehicles older than 10 years so I took my chances it being a new vehicle, bad Idea. When I took it to a local collision center to get an estimate and have it fixed through my insurance the gentleman inspecting the car told me he has another car with damage from Zoom as well and to never go there again. I'm a fan of the car wash... it washes my car well. I like the fact that they give you an air freshener and a towel. however lately they move the air fresheners to the outside before you come in and a lot of times the employees don't want to walk out there to hand you one. In fact I got a lecture from the last one saying.. do you know how hard it is to come out. And that I should actually get out and look above the kiosks when I drive in to get my own. They have them sitting up on top. I told him I wasn't going to get out of the car and I think he should do his job and quit complaining. I've washed numerous cars at this car wash and spent $1,000s at this specific location and they are going to let a loyal customer leave very upset! I work in Stow so I normally come there on my lunch break. This specific time I washed my truck here it ripped off and broke my wiper blade. I filled out an incident report and was told my "blades" purchased at autozone would be refunded to bring them back the receipt. I did just as they asked and the manager and associate refused their end of making things right. They claimed that they only broke one blade so they are only replacing one blade and that they don't care if they match or not. This is a brand new $60,000 truck that had new Ford wiper blades on before the car wash damaged it. The situation was handled very unprofessionally and left me very upset and i canceled my membership that I had transferred car to car for years as a result. Even asked if they could give me a month free for the inconvenience as a compromise and they refused. BE CAUTIOUS that if something happens to your car they will not hold up their end of the bargain you will be lucky to get them to cover it. THIS IS ALSO A TOUCH car wash and will damage your paint over time! Take your business elsewhere where the businesses are ran and owned by hardworking people not some investment franchise that could care less about their customers! read more

Save your money! Not only did we just waste $16 for the wash that included the underbody. The underbody was barely cleaned, and we couldn't even see out of the windshield as the wash ended. I've NEVER had to use my window wipers to clean off so much excess soap & water. As we left the parking lot, we saw another car coming out of the wash with soap and water left all over their car too. You'd think for $16 it would come with a rinse and dry feature...absolutely ridiculous. read more

Not sure what has happened to this car wash, since they first opened. I used to rave about it however things have changed. Their vacuums used to be awesome they used to suck up everything now they have missing hoses on some of them and they're not as strong of suction as they were when first opened. This Zoom definitely needs some maintenance, when at the car wash several people were making their opinions know how dissappointing this car wash has become. Management doesn't seem to care because the cars are still rolling in, but after hearing the comments that I heard people are going to be looking for a new location for a wash. I used to drive from Akron because they were that good now I no longer want to waste my gas or money!!! Great staff at the Stow location. Always helpful, friendly and courteous. Never had a problem. Got both cars washed and waxed this morning.

This place started out great. But they have started skimping. They are actually lying about the service. They charge you for the under carriage wash, they do not provide it. If you question it, they will look under your back bumper and well it's wet, so it did it. The under carriage wash is the first thing when you pull in. Another thing they stopped is the TRI wash, that would be the green red and blue soap. Now it is a much cheaper brand and just this yellowish color. I also believe they no longer do the tire shine at the end. Waiting in line I saw three cars come out and it did not do it. Sure they all could have bought the basic wash, but I doubt it. As far as local car washes go, this is the only one that actually cleaned my car. It was powerful enough to remove all the salt & dirt buildup yet left the tree sap behind. However, my overall experience left me feeling a little salty as the customer service was award & rude. If it's your first time going, watch out because the staff here has absolutely no patience! Similar to using an ATM, there are signs that clearly state the prices & what each package includes but you don't have much time to read & debate as the line is non stop. One of the male employees kept approaching customers at the purchasing station & taking their payment method (they accept credit/debit cards) from their hands & using it. This seemed weird & rushed to me as he kept walking back & forth from car to car. I choose the $18.00 unlimited monthly fast pass but wont be going back- there are no signs nor explanation on the receipt as to how to use your pass again. However, the website explains that your suppose to receive a windshield sticker so that you can visit again ( I never got one) & didn't know this as asking the staff wasn't an option. The only thing they gave me was an air freshener & towel. Upon pulling up to the tunnel, another male staffer yelled at me repeatedly about my window but I clearly couldn't hear him. When I rolled it down a little more to tell him I'm practically deaf in that ear he cut me off before I could get one word out & just kept screaming at me. Some customers are hearing impaired- just saying...unprofessional! However, after your vehicle is finished; you do have free access to the vacuums. Yet since this is an automatic wash you wont need to worry about tipping the staff; not that they deserve it. read more

Go at your own risk! The wash continues to get worse and worse. I was a loyal monthly customer. Unfortunately, the last time I went there it left 4 two inch scratches and one 9 inch scratch on the driver side. All the way down to the metal. I immediately filled out their accident report only to hear them later tell me they were inconsistent to anything that could have happened. The scratches were not there before the wash, but were there immediately after. So you tell me how they got there? read more

The customer service is terrible. I had an issue and the manager came out after canceling the call for help the first time I pushed the help button. I had to push the button a second time. Then she came out with a attitude, but their service was rude from the first time I asked for help. She started talking over me and accused me of wanting to argue. I wish Zoom's employee's were as professional as the company claims to be. I'm pretty sure I want be renewing my monthly membership. I am referring solely to the Stow, Oh location.
