Alterations done on a formal dress. Needed it taken in a bit and hemmed. Parts were fine while…read moreother parts were terrible. The dress was taken in at the waist at least 2 inches more than how it was pinned. I could barely get it zipped and it was unwearable. I had to take it to another alterations shop to have it fixed (the new place was able to undo what Classic Alterations had done). The dress has lace and the bottom of the lace where it was hemmed is terrible. Uneven and in places it looks like someone just ripped it. To top it all off, this shop was very expensive. And then I had to pay even more to have the incorrect work done here, fixed. I ended up paying more for the 2 sets of alterations than I paid for the dress. Would not recommend this shop at all.

Do not go here. Terrible experience. Brought in a casual midi dress that I simply needed the waist…read moretaken in on. Brought the dress in on Monday August 31. Didn't need it done by a certain time, and was told to come back the following Tuesday and pick it up. 2 weeks go by and I hear nothing from her, so I call and ask about the dress (09/15). She tells me it will be ready the following day. With her very limited business hours and me having a full time job, I wasn't able to get back there until Friday, September 25. I go Friday morning and ask for my dress, thinking it would be done since she told me it would be finished 10 days prior. She proceeds to tell me the dress is not ready, and to come back on Monday and she will have it done. I come back on Monday at opening time, 9 a.m., and arrive to a sign on the door saying she will be back at 9:30 a.m. When I go inside, she tells me the dress is STILL not ready and to come back at 4 p.m. and I can pick it up with no charge. Found this strange considering she closes at 3 p.m. I deny it, and tell her the dress is my property, I don't care that it's not altered, and I want it back. She proceeds to tell me that the dress is at her HOUSE because she "works there sometimes." I came back at closing, 3 p.m., and was able to get my dress back. She hadn't even touched it. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. HIGHLY do not reccomend.

If you need someone who will alter your designer gown better than the "big box bridal shop," Sara…read moreis the one who can get it done! I purchased a designer gown online. At first, I struggled to find a seamstress who knew how to alter it. I didn't want to take it to a dry cleaner tailor, and one seamstress I first found online only did a small alteration that made the dress look awkward on me-- so after a month of frustration, I needed help! I found Sara through Yelp reviews, visited her Bonita Springs, FL studio, and she did an amazing job on my wedding gown. Sara took my ill-fitting dress (especially in the bust area) and transformed it to look like it was made for me-- the dress looks very couture -- I was shocked at how good it looks. As soon as I brought it to her, I knew I was in good hands. She approached the alterations with the confidence that only an expert has, she gave me honest and upfront pricing, and she took care of me and my dress with a lot of love. Sara also designs gowns in case you're looking to have one custom made from scratch. Sara designs jewelry; she had the perfect pair of pearl earrings to match the gown. If you want your gown to be in good hands, work with Sara, you won't regret it! On top of that, Sara showed genuine interest in me and my wedding, and had a lot of helpful tips for making sure my day will go off well! My wedding is in August 2018; so I won't post pictures of the dress until after the wedding, but I look forward to sharing them online soon.
