Affordable Deck and Fence (AF&D) provided a tentative schedule and were timely in completing our deck despite the weather interruptions. During the tear out (we thought this was huge) and construction of the new deck, they keep the worksite very tidy. First impression: Professional and polite…read more Last impression: Cocky, arrogant, immature, unprofessional and a member of the deck boys club. I contacted this company for a second opinion about a quote that I received from another company (standard consumer practice to compare prices). I guess he didn't like that I sent a image to show the sizing of the deck etc. FAIR.... But my intention was to show sizing of the deck that I would like built. Apparently it's a faux pas to do!! So IN TURN, I TOOK HIS FEEDBACK AND THANKED HIM FOR IT. I IMMEDIATELY SAID THAT I WOULD GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL COMPANY AND GIVE THEM A CHANCE. DUSTIN took it upon himself to share our correspondence via text msg with the original company that I was trying to "shop around for the design". Really??? How immature. Nonetheless, buyers beware. Hire a professional company and not a company that's still in high school with high school IMMATURITY! Absolutely disgusted by the bro-mance between companies. Anyway the original company decided to no longer take on my project. Thanks Dustin for making me smarter, and allowing me to not give you or the other deck company my money!!!

The only redeeming factor for this company is they subcontracted to someone who was fantastic to do…read moreour garage door opener install. Everything before that was a pretty big fail. Seems like they are contractors for the big chains like Lowe's. We bought a garage door opener from Lowe's and they use this company to contract out for the installs. When we tried to book the initial assessment, I asked for a weekend or weekday after 5pm install which I know is not common. The person just said "okay hold on" and transferred me to Lowe's customer service without informing either myself or Lowe's why they transferred me. After explaining the situation, the Lowe's employee figured out what was going on and got me to the right person. When we tried to book the actual install, Lowe's helped us place an explicit order with them so that they would book us a weekend or weekday after 5pm install. When we got the link to schedule, just weekdays 8-4pm were given to me. When they called me, same issue as above. They even sent me 2 emails from 2 different people telling me to book within the next 3 days between 7-4 pm or else they wouldn't be able to book me in for a month! Finally I got someone else from that company on the line and they subcontracted out to someone else to take my job (Thank goodness because I'm not sure how much more miscommunication/lack of communication I could have taken). After that it was smooth but I must have sent them 4 emails, called them at least 5 times to sort it out (not including calls to Lowe's to ask them to help me). I'm not sure what Lowe's had to do but I'm pretty sure they must have communicated with them a few times to clarify. Overall, probably stay away if you can. Unfortunately, they service the big box chains so maybe buy the merchandise but skip the install from Lowe's.

Would never recommend them, terrible customer service putting the customer and their money on the line and in a position to justify a leak caused by their work. Ugh They will claim to have reached out via Home Depot however you should not have to submit a claim and dance in circles to get immediate satisfaction a day after installation. Terrible!
