Captain Will told 2 other guests that he was shorted because the charter is actually $1800. But he wanted to make sure they tipped the deck hand 20% which would be $400. They each tipped individually and ended up tipping $340. Captain Will actually called my husband to complain about them not tipping $400 and that the charter was $1,850. Well if we put pen to paper 20% of $1,850 is $370. 20% of the original amount my husband was given is $350. He was very rude and ended up hanging up the phone. If he needed the $10 we would have been happy to venmo him money. But with the attitude he had we will not send any money. How does the charter amount change by $100? The tip was actually 19% of the original amount my husband was told. They did catch fish and had a good time but they did not get the 8 hours they paid for and after the rude phone call we would never recommend booking with captain Will. They had to fuel up and he tried to claim that as part of the fishing time.

We booked the 8 hour charter. We caught bait in the bay and then went to catch amberjacks. Fishing for amberjack was really the high point of the day because they fought so hard and constantly hit our bait. But alas, it was the shortest part of the trip. After amberjacks, the captain headed out west for bottom fishing. Unfortunately at the time, red snapper season was off so those had to get tossed back but we did catch plenty of lane snappers and triggerfish. We went out with 6 people and there was plenty of room. The mate was very personable and the captain did a fine job. We would have liked to have stayed for the amberjacks longer though, as we did catch plenty of bait to use.
