It took me a few days to be able to sit down in quiet to review our experience We started planning our vacation to PCB back in February. I had reached out to a couple other Dolphin tour places before I reached out to Chris. One never even responded to my message and another was rude and acted as if I was bothering them with my questions. I finally sent a PM to Chris and he responded shortly after answering all of my questions so I could make sure I was choosing the most enjoyable and safe boat ride for my family A few days later I made a phone call to Chris to book our tour and ask more questions. He was very professional, kind and informative. Never once gave me the vibe that I was being a nuisance. Sunday morning (6-30-24) we arrived for our 8:00 am, 4 hour Dolphin tour Chris arrived and was very upbeat and welcoming. He answered questions from the kids, told us about certain places we passed by and kept us entertained. We went snorkeling, saw lots of dolphins, sea turtles, starfish and got caught in the pouring rain twice He made sure to ask if we wanted to go back or continue in the rain, we chose to continue since we were having a blast!!!! If you are having that hard decision on who to go out on the water with I HIGHLY recommend Anchor Charters!!! If ever vacationing in PCB again I would do this all over. The 4 hour tour you get the most memorable experience Below is Chris describing the difference in the tour as far as the 2hr vs the 4hr the main difference is that you don't get as long out there it takes roughly 15 to 25 minutes depending on weather and water Conditions to get to the island and the same to get back to the dock. We were down the week of May 12th and it was double red flags all week. This was our 4th time with Chris and as always he never disappoints. The gulf was too rough to be in, but he gave us yet another amazing day on the bay and at Shell island. We got lucky and he spotted a shark tooth for me! We saw sea turtles, dolphins, and other sea life. It was the Best Day of our vacation. I highly recommend! He's great to work with when the weather doesn't cooperate. Chris was extremely knowledgeable about the marine life and did everything he could to make sure we saw things we asked to see! We had such an incredible tour . We come to Destin every year and always rent our own pontoon boat to do the crab island thing. This year we wanted something more out of our trip and found Chris. He is AMAZING!! He knows all the spots to go. Highly recommend! Our family of 5 (including 3 teens) took the private two hour eco tour and it was perfect! We really enjoyed Chris's flexibility, being able to take us to see dolphins, and we even saw a shark! Chris was able to get us up close to the dolphins (even a mama and her baby!), while making sure not to disturb or scare them. We loved being able to anchor, snorkel and look for shells. I cannot say enough about our time with Captain Chris! We did a 4hour morning tour (10-2p), party of 3 (1local and 2 friends in town for a bachelorette celebration!). Communication was easy from booking to pre-tour updates and photos after. We did not have to lift a finger - showed up about 5 minutes before launch. But truly, the best time we had was on the water. Chris keeps the energy alive! We saw a pod of ~50 dolphins and he got us about as close as we could possibly be, snorkel gear provided on the boat and he even shares a little history throughout. My wife and I have taken several dolphin tour, snorkeling trips in the Panama City/PCB area. Anchor Charters is by far the best.
