Having not seen some old friends for a year but who lived a long distance away, we agreed to take pot luck and meet halfway at this venue.
It was a Saturday and we were the only people there for lunch.
The food is excellent, tasty, fresh and hot, and all served with a smile. (No finger bowl for the rib eaters though!) At just under £20 a head for 'all you can eat', it was very good value.
My only complaints would be that, being a non chop stick user myself, the cutlery supplied is more suited to a down market transport caff. Its thin, bendy and has an uncomfortable edge at the rear of the handles. Second is that between courses the waitress put the chopsticks and cutlery directly onto the tablecloth. Bad enough not to be able to have clean cutlery, but surely a side plate could be provided for the purpose ? The cloth then had some sticky patches on it and I had to be careful where I placed my specs on the table.
But we will be happy to meet there again, its easy to find with no parking problems, and above all a good tablefull of tasty food. read more
