It wasn't the cheapest and the food, at least the take away just didn't live up to standard. The beef satay was sooo tough that I literally can't bite through, the chicken bad Thai was try and the beef pad see ew the beef also suffered from same toughness. The sauce didn't taste similar to the good Thai foods we had so I suppose it was quite localised as well. It's good enough if you wanted some Thai but not good enough to come again - maybe a one off unfortunate miss.

My fresh roll entree was a welcome light option but one was ripped. Served with 'hoisin sauce' which I can best describe as Shea body butter blended with nuts. My wonton noodle soup was served in two parts (we got takeaway) which is standard with some Thai meals. Whilst the wonton filling was very flavour some, the seafood that was supposed to accompany left much to be desired. One overcooked prawn and one piece of rubbery squid. The proximity to accommodation was our main reason for trying it and the 10% helped compensate for the overpriced menu, which still made it slightly more expensive than what we would usually buy back home which is much better quality.

Both the chicken larb and the beef salad were full of pepper and lime/lemon and the beef over cooked. Not a bad little Thai place and one of the better feeds up the coast. We could barely hear what each other was saying let alone tell the poor waitress what we wanted over their noise. However, the service was excellent. The food was very good and came out in a timely manner. I really liked the soft shell crab. I have eaten this before but the waitress kindly explained that you eat the shell to our dining buddies. There were plenty of people in the restaurant. The waitresses excelled themselves in dealing with the womens' group too as time wore on and more was drunk they became noisier. Ah yes, and as demonstrated it is obviously BYO.
