When it snowed for a few days a few weeks ago, I panicked since I didn't have any snow tires on my car. I quickly called the car center on base who stated they didn't have any openings until a week later and even then I had to order my own tires.
My coworker, a dentist, recommended I come here. He got his snow tires for a little over 200 euros. He's very economically conscious and researches businesses before utilizing them so I knew this place was reputable.
Tagy had a large selection of tires. I called and the representative stated he had tires in stock that would fit my car for 240 euros total and they could get them on in time for me to get to work. On top of that, he stated they accept VAT forms. I was sold!
This was easy to find. The map on yelp led me directly to it however it was a rather narrow road to the garage itself. This was no fancy schmancy place. It is a bare bones tire garage. They've got new, used tires and a bunch of guys cranking them out. There is a small waiting room with vending machines, a few sofas, tire magazines, but you share it with a bunch of tires. Don't expect a TV and coffee service.
After waiting 15 minutes or so, I was told the tires I wanted were not in stock and that the guy I talked to made a mistake. I could tell this was not intentional. They said I could wait two days for it to arrive or choose another set, a more reputable, expensive brand, or a used set with 70% tread with rims. I decided on the used set with 5-6mm left of tread. This was sufficient as I was only going to be be here for another 2.5 years. The owner was very fair in pricing and acknowledged the mistake they made. Mistakes will happen as we are only human but how you manage them speaks volumes.
They let me look at them before placing them on. In about 20 minutes, they were placed and ready for me to take off. They heeded my request to done before 12:30pm so I could get to work on time. During my wait time, someone would come in and touch base with me and give me the status.
All in all, I'd come back here again. I'd rather come to a no frills place than a fancy dealership and save my money. read more
