Everyone is friendly, though I do not feel comfortable coming here by myself. Must be the native NYC part of me. I do recommend this park.

Regardless of catching keepers, we were reeling them in all day long. we went from 7:30am to 2:30pm and between the 4 of us we hooked about 40 fish. Although we only had one keeper, it may have to do with the fact that the limit was raised to 18". These guys stick to the rules and don't let anyone keep shorts. Overall fantastic crew and boat, great trip! Will be going again very soon!

As we arrive at the shore, the captain, Captain Tom, spotted us from afar and gave us a very welcoming greeting. He took pictures for us in front of the ship and tells us everything we need to know about the trip. The crew was amazing and very attentive. The weather was a little chilly today so Patrick, the superstar crew member, very kindly offered his spare hoodies to my friends who are freezing. We didn't catch any strip bass today, but we did manage to catch many blue fish. They are huge and really quite delicious. Ah yes! So once you have a fish on hook, the crew will help you pull it out of the water, and at the end fillet them for you. The fishing experience was really easy and relaxing because the crew is there to help with untangling the strings or helping us putting on baits. The bathroom was extremely clean and the indoor space is dry and comfortable. I like the fact that they have a separate restroom for the ladies, it is very considerate. This is my 3rd time fishing with the Atlantic Star and I'll definitely come back with more friends. Tips: - don't forget to tip the crew members well when you exit the ship, they worked really hard! - they have everything you need on board, just walk in and be prepared to catch some fish! - good for family with kids too

We used his recommended caterer and DJ for ease of planning and both were fantastic. The food was tasty and plentiful and DJ Anthony connected us to a private portal where my daughter was able to select all of her favorite music. The 5-person skiffs are the boats that do not require a boat license to operate. They have 12 regular skiffs ($100), and 5 skiffs w/ tops ($115). They open at 7am, but I would suggest getting there 30 minutes earlier and putting your name on the reservation list to ensure you get a boat. The skiffs are in pretty good condition, and they're not difficult to operate even if it's your first time. Life jackets and seating pads are provided with the rental. If you need fishing or crabbing equipment, you can get it at the store on site.
